« We had a change of plans for our road trip and found this delightful B and B at the last minute. We were very pleasantly surprised; the property is beautiful architecturally, the hosts were really gracious and welcoming, and the breakfasts were wonderful. Murphy's is a little foodie haven with a bunch of local cellar doors open to the public, and historic goldrush era buildings in the surrounding villages. « It was our first time staying at a bed and breakfast. I was not sure If it wasSomething I wouldBe willing to do again. But I was proven wrong on a large scale. The proper owners were very polite and willing to share all that they have to offer. The stay was very peaceful and warm. It Made us Feel like weWere visiting our grandma. We are definitely going to stay there again. We feel like we have made new Friends at the peaceful paradise. »

« This hotel is a real piece of history and is decorated and furnished accordingly, so don't expect king sized modern beds and air conditioning. However, if , like me, you appreciate people taking the effort to give you an unforgettable experience of how things used to be, this is the place. The town itself is a lovely reminder of what the Gold Country was like in the late 1800s with lots of old buildings along a main street.
