« The entrance to our apartment was down a narrow alleyway to the back of the building. Then steep stairs to our apartment. Everything was pretty minimalistic. The 2 beds were close to the floor, they only gave us 2 small toilet paper rolls for our 3 night stay (had to buy some & Kleenex). A very small kitchen. Had to use bathroom for water & to clean plates, silverware, etc. The kitchen table was in bad shape, burned areas & the chairs were unsteady (screws missing). I wouldn’t recommend seniors...

« Absolutely fabulous place to stay! We stayed for a full week before our daughter was graduating from the Naval Academy. We were a mixed household of kids and adults and everyone had plenty of room to spread out. Kids enjoyed kayaking, fishing, bike riding, and of course swimming. The guest house was well furnished with everything we needed. Owner is very kind and welcoming. There are only steps to get into the property. This was no issue for us, but if you are traveling with anyone...

« We really enjoyed our stay in this 1700s stone house. Williamsburg, Va and the Duke of Gloucester Street has always been one of our favorite locations for it's history and ambivalence. Standing in this house and imagining the history these windows have witnessed is truly staggering. Cannons produced for George Washington's army leaving the forge heading to face the British military is one small segment of it's history. Truly a step back in time.
