« A gem amongst the trees! Terrific stay for a long weekend! It is what you make of it — relaxing in your room or on the numerous patio spaces, or in the library, or in the lobby! Swimming and kayaking! We took a guided ride on the brand new pontoon boat (with a bartender and restroom on board) and that was one of my favorite parts. « The main reason I gave lower ratings on some of the survey questions was due to an issue during check-in. I had already been charged by the Vrbo host, but when I arrived at Stonewall Resort, I was told there was no card on file and that I would need to pay again. It appeared that Stonewall needed to process payment through the host rather than charge me directly.I tried explaining to the Stonewall staff that a third party was handling the payment, but they were unable to verify or locate that...

« Room was just as pictured and described on line. Everything was clean and room was well stocked with everything I needed. Owners were in constant contact to make sure I didn't need anything. Great Wi-Fi service in room. Close to Elkins but far enough away to be in the country. For those that like to fish you can walk to a great trout stream which is just over the bank from your room. You are just down the hollow from the Bowden Trout Hatchery. Great place to stop by for the kids and kids at...
