« Two sisters on a road trip to Melbourne decided to break the journey in Beechworth and stay at Gladstone House. What a find! Location excellent - just a short stroll into town. « Have stayed in a lot of holiday rentals and this was the cleanest house I think I’ve been to. Add to this that it is pet friendly, right in the middle of town and very quiet & private - It’s a winner for a stay in Beechworth. »

« We all enjoyed our stay in this comfortable and well equipped family home. As we stayed in winter the wood fired heater added great atmosphere to the standard heating. Beautiful scenery and beautiful garden with a balcony we also enjoyed. Owners are very friendly and were happy to refund when we had to cancel the previous year due to Covid. »

The small touches made our arrival even more special with chocolates and wine, Leif products in all bathrooms and as we arrived in summer aircon running we stepped into a beautiful cool and calm environment. « This was the second time that we have stayed at Hughes Hideaway. Despite being on the same property as the main house- you would never know anyone else was around. It feels quite secluded and quiet. The property itself was spotless with all amenities available.
