« The room was nice in terms of its layout and aesthetic but the fridge was humming loudly all night (I turned it down to the lowest setting but didnt help much) and there is an aircon unit or something right behind the bedroom wall when your head is while in bed. That was noisy and annoying. So I didnt really have a relaxing time, despite the environment. »

« The aspect was serene and made you feel part of the wild Australian bush, with expansive hillside slopes and swaying trees, cows on the hillcrest and the sun streaming down through the valley; yet just off the road for access. It was a fantastic way to feel isolated in a calm, luxurious cocoon with 6 places to sit, lie, bathe and relax in a beautifully compact space inside but also connect to the outside on the deck for champagne or private bath overlooking the valley. « clean rooms, cottage garden overgrown, paling front fence falling down,verandah lounges dirty and plenty of cobwebs and spiders. deadlock front door broken not fixed despite informing marlene. no laundry or washing machine we stayed for 9 days and had to travel out of clunes to do our washing. over all we were disappointed as the cottage was not as shown in photos. »

« Thanks again for having us! We had a lovely stay at “Amanda” - very comfortable house, close to everything in Daylesford. Nice yard (fully fenced - our doggo enjoyed plenty of space to safely explore) and beautiful views from the front deck, especially in the afternoon light. Fireplace kept us warm and cozy during a cold week. Well stocked kitchen - everything we needed was there. Hosts very communicative and friendly. Hope to stay here again in future! :) »

« Excellent view, private and peaceful, very spacious, well equipped home …especially in the modern kitchen, several eating areas, lots of toys if you had children, good wifi and phone reception, comfortable beds, a couple of internal doors need adjusting to enable proper closing, sandwich grill hadn’t been cleaned, BBQ needs a thorough clean, white stepping stones leading to entrance are not that safe. « Our stay at Zahalka House in Daylesford was lovely. Nestled beside Smith’s Creek and surrounded by a beautiful garden amd deck. The house was just as we expected from a country cottage and enjoyed the use of the fire and the deck overlooking the garden, which was a beautifully setting for our morning coffees.
