There is no private parking, but you can park your car on the street within the blue lines for a fee or in Viale Lecco, which is not far away. Paid parking hours are from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. You can pay at the parking meter, which issues a ticket to place on your car\'s dashboard, or you can use the \"Easy Park\" app. There are also paid covered parking options in the city: \"VALDUCE\" on Viale Lecco, \"JASCA\" in Piazza Volta, \"CENTRO LAGO\" on Via Recchi, and \"TRIBUNALE\" on Via Auguadri.

\"Turchese\" is just a few steps from the lake and very close to the historic center of Como. Within a few minutes\' walk, you can stroll along the lake. There are also several bars and restaurants nearby. A small supermarket is close by, and the property is also very near the Como Nord Lago train station.

GETTING AROUND

A ten-minute walk is enough to reach the Como San Giovanni train station. From this station, there are regular trains to Milan and Switzerland (Lugano, Bellinzona, Locarno). From the Como Lago train station, reachable in less than 5 minutes, you can reach Milan Cadorna train station. In Como and nearby towns, bus services are available; tickets can be purchased on the bus (cash only) or at authorized points (the bus station in Piazza Matteotti in Como, bars, and tobacco shops). Taxi services are also available.

From the pier, ferries reach Cernobbio, Torno, Bellagio, Varenna, Colico, and other lakeside locations. Please note that during the high season, there may be long lines at the ticket office before boarding. Tickets can also be purchased online on the “Navigazione Laghi” website.

The nearest airports are Milan Malpensa, Milan Linate, and Orio Al Serio in Bergamo. A shuttle service to and from the airports can easily be arranged at an additional cost. For further questions regarding transportation and transfers, feel free to contact us; we will be happy to assist you!

TIPS

We recommend dedicating a day to visiting the wonderful towns around the lake. Como city is the urban center of the area, but the towns are gems with beautiful lakeside villas.

To move around and stroll by Lake Como, especially in the small towns, it is necessary to wear comfortable shoes.

There are many public drinking water fountains in the area, and the water is safe to drink unless otherwise indicated. Tap water is also drinkable. You can bring your refillable bottle with you!

If you are looking for a relatively easy hike in the area and still want to enjoy mountain views, the Greenway del Lago di Como is an easy-to-follow trail that connects the lakeside villages from Colonno to Griante and does not require much climbing. A bus will take you to the starting point in Colonno.

Look for traditional restaurants to sample local foods, such as dishes based on fish from Lake Como.

In Italy, many shops (especially small ones) and services close in the middle of the day, so be sure to plan your shopping accordingly.

Lake Como is one of the deepest lakes in Europe and the deepest in Italy. Swimming and diving are prohibited in many areas and can be dangerous. For those who wish to take a dip, however, there are some options. In Como city, there is an outdoor pool near Villa Olmo, but swimming in the lake is not recommended and mostly prohibited. The Lido di Bellagio and the pebbly beach of San Giovanni await those who wish to venture further and explore the beautiful town of Bellagio, located in the center of the two branches of the lake. Locals and visitors also enjoy going to Nesso, where the more daring swimmers can dive into the lake from the ancient Roman bridge near the waterfall.

Lake Como is located in a mountainous region. The surrounding Prealps may not seem very high, but the climate is still influenced by the nearby mountains, and temperatures can change rapidly. Pay particular attention to weather conditions during hikes and bring warm and waterproof clothing!
