This newly renovated 2 bedroom unit is within walking distance of Ohio State, High st, night life, food and more. Just a few miles from downtown Columbus, you'll be within a short drive of everything in the city. This centrally located unit is a great place to call home for the weekend or for longer term as well. Only a few miles from OSU hospital and Riverside Hospital- great for travel nurses! Property address: 1957 Summit St, Columbus, OH 43201, USA.

The Space:
This splendor two bed, two bath was recently built and provides a luxury feel throughout the space. The kitchen features high-quality appliances, solid surface counters, and modern wood cabinetry along with high-grade wood-grain laminate flooring. Refrigerators are complete with ice-makers.

Guest Access:
Exterior door with a lockbox gives guest access 24/7 for their convenience.

The Neighborhood:
This unit is in the perfect location as High Street (half a mile) , Downtown Columbus (3 miles), The Shoe (1.5 miles) and Ohio State campus (1mile) are all right around the corner.

Getting Around:
Many activities are in walking distance but there is city transportation if needed. Columbus has ample street parking along with most venues having their own parking.

  • The second oldest building remaining on The Ohio State University campus, Orton Hall was opened in 1893. It is named after Dr Edward Orton, Sr. who served as Ohio State's first president, OSU Professor of Geology from 1873 to 1899, and Ohio's State Geologist from 1882 until his death in 1899. Orton Hall is built of 40 different Ohio building stones. In the outside walls, these stones are laid in stratigraphic order according to their relative positions in Ohio's bedrock. The only non-indigenous to Ohio stone used is Indiana Limestone to build the front steps. It was chosen because of its high concentration of embedded fossils. The bell tower was dedicated in 1915 and contains 25,000 pounds of bells that can be heard regularly tolling across campus. Encircling the top of the tower are 24 columns with gargoyle-like figures which are restorations of fossil animals.

I visited Columbus for an OSU football game and booked this vrbo considering the reviews were positive and the pictures seemed nice.Upon arriving, we walked into a unit that seemed to be under construction. The shower doors were in a bedroom, the AC/furnace unit door was lying on the floor, and the entire apartment floor and couches had a layer of drywall dust. I reached out to the host to see if there was another unit available because this one was certainly not something anyone should be staying in.The host provided another apartment for our stay but the AC/furnace in this one did not work, the floors were so dirty that our feet were black, and it smelled as though someone had smoked in it hours before we arrived.We decided to stay in the second unit given our trip was already planned out and most hotels were fully booked in the area. But for what was payed, this vrbo was not up to any standards at all. If you book this unit, understand that you are paying purely for convenience, not comfort, in the sense that it is within walking distance of high street and OSU’s campus. While the pictures provided by the host reflect what the unit somewhat looks like, both units were not clean and amenities were not as promised.

Place was emaculant— however the tenants above us left water running or the toilet over flowed and ran all night and we was wake by water pouring down in the bathroom and kitchen living room area—- I would stay again but this was not a great experience

We stayed here for parents weekend and it was a great stay. Close to my daughter’s apartment and the fraternities/sororities. It is on the ground floor so we kept the shades closed which makes the apartment a bit dark but didn’t bother us. It was also noisy but we 100% expected that because it was parents weekend. Overall a great place to stay if visiting OSU.

The apartment is nice and spacious, newer furnishings, comfortable beds and very clean for the most part. Communication with the owner was very smooth. Location is very convenient if visiting the university and just 2 blocks from my son's house. We knew coming in to expect some noise since we know it's in a frat/ student housing area. What we didn’t know is it is right behind the biggest outdoor party location in the area. Not as a one off. Both Friday and Saturday night were extremely loud outdoor parties with hundreds of students until 2am Friday and 3am Saturday. If it were one night I would think we just got unlucky with their one big party of the year but both nights seems it's a regular. We are late night people so one night was not so bad (and the band Friday was actually great). But 2 nights and loud boomy dance DJ wasn't the best. I would probably stay again for move out or maybe in the winter when I assume there’s no outdoor parties, or a weekday but something to be aware of. Also more minor, the dishwasher was full when we arrived. Clean but not emptied by the cleaners.

Located 2 miles from Ohio State stadium & upon checking in, there were trash/dead leaves at the front door. Found a broom to sweep the hallway. Couldn’t connect to the WIFI until the next day with the maintenance manager. RENOVATED—-I disagree, the shower was moldy ,(had to buy a cleaner to spray but it didn’t work. There was 1 small travel sizeshampoo/condioner provided for 3 nights/3 people. No body wash—-had to buy that also. Kitchen supplies were sparse also(no ice cubes, sugar, 2pots&pan-old, The pictures on the website are misleading—floor, walls/baseboards/air vents were dusty plus the outside environment is dirty. Neighborhood is loud with music blasting until midnight. Students started blasting music at sunrise the day of the football game and there was a young girl squatting to urinate outside the window WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS RENTAL

Dirty and misleading

Upon arrival I found the place dirty. The couch didnt look like it has been cleaned at all, the microwave was dirty, the was no toilet paper even though there was supposed to be. Under the beds was filthy. Dishwasher was full and it wasnt clear whether those dishes were clean or dirty. After communicating with manager we were moved to another apartment for our second night but encountered more of the same. It honestly looked like what a child would think is acceptably clean. There was also a shelf that was above a bed but barely hanging on to the wall.
