Hudson Cottage | Fast WiFi!

Hudson Cottage is a charming single-story retreat just north of The Ohio State University, featuring:
✓ Two bedrooms, one with a king bed, the other with a twin-over-full bunk bed

✓ 20-minute walk to Ohio Stadium
✓ Pet-friendly, with a fully fenced-in yard. Yard is mostly mulch (with some plants and concrete - no grass).

Hudson Cottage is a single-story home. You'll need to walk up 5-6 steps from Hudson St. to reach the front door. From there, you'll enter into the living room, which is open to the dining area.

Front bedroom: the front bedroom has a king size bed. The king bed is made from two twin beds joined together (there is a small hump in the middle from a cushion that joins the mattresses together). Guests can split this bed into two twins if you would like (twin size bedding will be available in the closet). It will be made up as a king bed for every stay. This room has a sliding barn door. There is also an exterior door in this room that leads to outside the house, but you won't need to use this door.

Kitchen: we've provided a stocked kitchen with most things that you should need for basic cooking. Keurig coffee with a few pods provided to get you started! Note that the dishwasher is a "portable" dishwasher and requires moving it over to the sink faucet to run (instructions provided in the house).

Bathroom: the bathroom has a standard sized tub/shower and is in the hallway past the kitchen.

Back bedroom: past the bathroom, at the end of the hall, you'll find the second bedroom. This is a smaller room with a twin-over-full bunkbed.

Basement laundry: the basement access is through a door in the back bedroom. Stairs go down to a basement with a washer and dryer that guests are welcome to use.

Outdoor space: the basement staircase also opens to an exterior door into the back yard. The yard is mulch, concrete, and some simple plants. A work in process but will be nice for letting dogs out!

*Parking is on the street in front of the home and is readily available most times of the day. Later in the evenings and on weekends, if you are parking after ~7pm, you may need to find a spot down the block. This has not been an issue for us yet, but we wanted to note it here!
*No parking for street sweeping, on the second Thursday of the month, from 8am to 4pm. This is posted on signs - the city will tow your car! There are some areas over on High St. that have 2-hour parking where we have moved our cars during street sweeping.
*We do ask for assistance from our guests in moving the trash and recycling bins to/from the curb in front of the house on the pickup days. We'll provide reminder messages and we'll be available to help anyone with physical limitations if needed.
