Feel free to explore our beautiful wooded property in the Black Forest and keep an eye out for local wildlife! Deer, rabbits, squirrels, and birds are common. On rare occasion you might spot a bobcat, fox, or even a black bear. Elk can be heard in the fall and sometimes a moose has been spotted.
What some of our guests do not love that much about our listing:
- The home is a two-level property so there are stairs between the main floor and walkout basement. If climbing stairs is potentially a concern, this home would not be appropriate.
- The climate of Colorado Springs does not require A/C for most of the year. However, this home does have centralized Air Conditioning in kitchen, living room, and office, and two A/C towers and ceiling fans throughout the home are provided.
-We do not advertise the garage on the listing as it is not yet available for use.
Our house comfortably sleeps 9 guests with 1 King size bed downstairs, 1 queen bed in the upper and lower master bedrooms, and 2 pull-out double sized beds with an optional pack and play. All beds complete with fresh sheets changed after every single guest.
Complimentary Wi-Fi, Netflix, tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. The kitchen comes fully loaded with stainless steel appliances such as a fridge, electric stove/oven, dishwasher, and microwave along with glasses, mugs, dishes and cutlery.
Once you stay with us, you'll feel like you're simply staying at home!
Guest access:
The home has a long, inclined, asphalt driveway with plenty of parking at the house. Feel free to stream Netflix as much as you like, whip up anything you can dream of in our fully stocked chef's kitchen, or jump in your car/take an Uber to nearby restaurants or attractions like Garden of the God's, Manitou Springs, or downtown Colorado Springs.
Other things to note:
There is keyless entry to the home using a code that will be provided to you on check-in day after we reset the lock from the previous guest's stay.
We have instructions for use of the hot tub posted on the door leading out to it. These instructions include how to remove and replace the cover using the cover holder attached to the hot tub and how to maintain the hot tub clean during your stay. Hot tubs loose heat and use a lot of energy when the cover is removed, so please replace the cover immediately after each use.
Please remember that you're staying in our home, not a hotel. Please treat the place with respect. Although this is a 5 acre lot, there are still neighbors within sight--please show courtesy to the neighbors and be consciences of noise. If any problems arise, we will do our best to take action ASAP, but there is no one living on site 24/7.
Profiles that are brand new with no prior reviews, or have less than 3 reviews total at a 4.5 rating or less out of 5 will be required to pay a $2000 damage deposit prior to a booking being confirmed and check in instructions being shared. The damage deposit is fully refundable at the end of a reservation assuming there is no damage to the property.
Please note that profiles with a lower review rating than 4 stars will not be allowed to book our property on an instant book basis and if for whatever reason the reservation confirms through the system, the reservation may be cancelled. For guests with new profiles without reviews, these requests will be reviewed manually and will be subject to screening and questioning before a reservation may be confirmed.
