Disappointing Experience. We were expecting luxury for the high price, but this accommodation was...

Only the main floor is nice and it’s just fine for a couple.

The lake house was lovely, and the views were absolutely amazing. We had a wonderful time overall and enjoyed our stay. There were a few setbacks with the sleeping arrangements. One of the upstairs beds was broken, which meant that room could not be used for a married couple. Because of the layout and limited privacy between the adjacent upstairs bedrooms, we needed to reserve the neighboring room for the couple instead. As a result, some of the kids had to sleep downstairs, leaving two twin beds upstairs unused. The property manager did have someone fix it on our last night there. A few items around the property could also use some updating or maintenance, including the games, ping pong table, and dart equipment. Nothing was a dealbreaker, but some attention to those details would make the experience even better for future guests. The water toys were great! Overall, we had a great time, enjoyed the beautiful setting, and made many good memories during our stay. We would recommend.

Relaxing

Second time we have stayed here. Weather was horrible but didn’t care because the house is so comfortable. Best dock of any rental I have stayed at. Kept the boat very safe even during high winds.

A relaxing get-away to spend quality time with my family. Loved to sit in the sunroom and look out across the lake. The lake was never busy with boats. Would highly recommend to others.

Fantastic week at the lake!!!

We headed to Cocolalla for a family week at the lake to close out summer and had an amazing time. The house was ideal for our family of 6 (could have comfortably fit more). The house was stocked with everything we needed, the lake was beautiful, the property was clean. We stay at VRBOs often and this was as good of an experience as have had at a property. We will be back!

Great spot for our large family

We had a family wedding near the lake and this was the perfect place as we had 14 people in our group. We paid the neighbor a little to let us park our trailer on his grass for our overflow guests. Water was great on a hot wedding weekend!

Amazing View

The sunroom with the beautiful lake and mountain view was wonderful, 3 of the bedrooms had these views as well. We took several kayak and paddleboard trips around the lake and saw lots of wildlife. Fishing off the dock was also a big hit. There was a missing propane tank for the grill, however, Vacasa provided a prompt response and delivered one in a timely manner.

Wonderful step back in time on Lake Cocolalla

This sweet cabin reminded me of my childhood lake property and has a lovely spot on the lake. Both of the neighbors weren't using their water spots so it was very private on the water for us. The cabin has everything you need for a great stay, we appreciated all the blankets/extra bedding, beach towels, fully stocked kitchen, 2 kayaks/1 paddle board. The cabin was very clean and the sunroom is the best room in the house! We found it to be a great value to be on the water with our kiddos. The house is looking a little run down on the outside compared to the listing pic. There is also a train across the lake that was fun to watch - but is very noisy at night as it runs a lot, so bring ear plugs and a sound machine if you are a light sleeper! Would absolutely stay again, vacasa made the whole process super easy!

Fun stay

we chose this location for 2 reasons..we were going to go to Silverwood, and since this house was on a lake, we said we would bring our ski boat. I communicated with the owner about the lake, and she state they bring their boat a ski every year. Well, we could not put our boat in the water, the launch is so shallow, there was no way to get the boat in, we ended up driving up to Sandpoint and spending the day on Pendereille. We were all so sad, to say the least. The house did have many things to enjoy on the water, kayaks, and rafts and float, so it helped the sting a little, but it sure would have been nice to ski on the glass lake any time of the day. The only other issue we had was with the water. There were times that the water pressure was non existancant. We couldn't take showers or run the dishwasher, so I do not know what that was all about. Location to Silverwood was nice, so it was a good week, just wouldn't have pulled my boat 7 hours for nothing.

Les points faibles : Propreté, infrastructures et conditions de l’hébergement, communication
We booked this accommodation expecting a luxurious stay, given the high price, but unfortunately, it fell far short of expectations. I would rate it as below average considering the cost. First off, the room on the main floor was the only one that felt like a proper room. The other rooms were in the attic, and they were unbearably hot and suffocating—definitely not comfortable. One of the rooms had a queen bed that was so cramped you could barely move to get to the other side. The two single beds were set up in a common area with no windows, and to access the bathroom or another room, you had to cross through this space, which meant zero privacy. Those sleeping in the common area were constantly disturbed. The air conditioning in the rooms was another huge issue. For the first two nights, the portable AC units were not working, and the heat was unbearable. While we were eventually able to get the AC running, it didn’t make up for the initial discomfort. There was also only one full bathroom for our group of 10, including kids. The second bathroom had no shower, which was frustrating. After just one or two people showered, the water temperature would drop to freezing cold, making it nearly impossible for everyone to get a comfortable shower. Managing with just one bathroom was a complete disaster. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and we certainly won’t be returning. For the price we paid, we expected a much better quality of accommodation.

Overpriced for this property

This property is in a beautiful location, but disappointing compared to other VRBO properties we have stayed in. Was dirty, dead flies all over the carpet and tables upon checkin, and generally dirty/dusty. The place was filled with flies throughout our stay. The owners said that nobody had stayed there since September, but maybe someone should have vacuumed/cleaned the dead flies up. The listing stated there was a fireplace, but it didn't work, which was disappointing since we stayed on Christmas and were hoping to have that going Christmas morning. The check in code that was sent to us by the property manager didn't work, and there also were some issues with plumbing. One of the toilets didn't work well and the water pressure was not great (due to it being on a well, according to the owners), one day we only got a trickle of water. The cookware provided is garbage, nonstick coating peeling off and should be replaced. The other thing is that you have to haul your garbage to the refuse disposal a few mies down the road, and even the refuse disposal gal said that for the price people pay for a VRBO, nobody should have to haul their garbage out. Generally disappointed with this property. We have stayed at many VRBO properties and have had much better experiences with cleaner, more updated properties. This one is way overpriced.

Home is great for large families and lake views are fantastic.

Bathrooms are sufficient but only 1 shower for what could be up to 12 sleeping guests. Kitchen is minimally equipped but sufficient. Otherwise a good value in a beautiful setting!

Great home for our family vacation

This home was a great place to have a get together with family. We had a wonderful time and the children had so much fun playing in the water. There are a few updates that could be made, and the property owner says they plan to make them soon. Overall, a great place to stay and a wonderful time!

We had a fantastic time at Cocolalla! The property was even better than we expected. We were there for a soccer tournament with a few moms and12 year old boys. Last Summer Hurrah

Rustic cabin like feel. The house was clean I gave 3 stars because of the spiders and webs. Our family had a great time. The sun room overlooking the lake was a hit. Eagle sightings daily were a thrill. Being on the lake was magical. We had good communication with the owners, they were very helpful and responsive. Its a great place to feel like your really away, with a short drive to Sandpoint to eat dinner out or get groceries. It was hard to leave. My grandkids asked if we were going back in a couple of weeks.
