« We throughly enjoyed our stay! The cabin, though primitive, did offer four folding chairs, firewood, some cooking supplies, inside table and chairs, and a nice bed. We enjoyed cooking over the open fire, fishing at the river, and enjoying nature's beauty! The porta-potties (2) were clean and had tissue and hand sanitizer. It was great there were solar lights (2) inside the cabin, and one as a porch light. We drove less than 1/2 hour to VA Mountain Vineyards and had a wonderful time with a glass...

« Our stay at the Maury House was exceptional. Thehost was accommodating ( we arrived an hour early) and available. The host responded to my questions immediately. The house is beautiful, well appointed, and had everything we needed in the kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms. « Great place for family to gather! Was nice overall, but there were some hiccups. When we first arrived, we were surprised to see a For Sale sign in front yard and dog feces at driveway. Looking out dining room window 3 dead flies on windowsill (obviously not wiped down). Under one of the beds was a balled up plastic bag, mini blind slat broken in another. « The house was very spacious with plenty of beds. We didn't feel like we were on top of each other. We liked the two sets of stairs, it made it easier to bring our things up to the bedrooms. The house had everything we needed, and the front porch was great. The fenced in yard was a big plus with dogs. The only downfall was having only one shower. Everyone took showers, so that made it a bit difficult with time. But overall, a great place to stay! »

« I needed a last minute place to stay and I'm so happy I found this place! There was plenty of space and had a cozy atmosphere. I stayed with my dog so the partially fenced yard was awesome. There is also a hiking trail right at the end of the street that was very convenient for us! The host was kind - I would recommend staying here if you're in the area! »
