I liked the self check in I got in late she texted me everything once the reservation was received.

It’s a historic hotel so that’s the niche. There is no refrigerator or microwave in the room. if anything needs refrigerated you have to ask staff they might put medicine or something like that in their fridge in the back somewhere. No way to keep cold bottles of water or anything like that. We couldn’t keep the ice packs for the car cooler frozen. My mom asked for a bottle of water at the bar and was told there was none. The bartender didn’t bother to give her even a glass of water while charging me $26 for a bloody mary. She’s almost 80 and can’t have alcohol. No luggage trolley. There’s no food of any kind except weekends. No snack machine pop nothing. The AC kicks on in the room it’s so loud it’s unbearable and the other one in the back area didn’t work at all. Parking is very tight. The feather pillows and comforter were absolute perfection but the mattress was so hard (firm) my back and hips ached the second night so bad no sleep to be had. I don’t see me staying there again if I do it’ll be for my mom i’ll take an air mattress and suffer with very little ice and nothing cold to drink. And nothing to eat unless we find a restaurant that’s a whole ‘nother review which also is not 5 stars either. Sorry but people need to know what’s about to happen to them. The End lol.

We only stayed one night, but had a great stay. The staff was very helpful and everything was clean and beautiful. We will definitely stay there again if in the area!

We had such a great stay. So quiet and secluded in nature! We saw deer and many other wildlife on the property. Tons of songbirds and butterflies everywhere. Chipmunks! Only a 2 minute drive to the cute little town Marlinton which had anything we needed including some good little coffee shops and pubs. We even stopped eating out the last few meals so we could cook in the cabin and enjoy some meals in it. The cabin we had was so comfortable and had everything you could possibly need. Spent a lot of time sitting on the porch and enjoying nature. The hosts are very accommodating and had the cabin ready and spotless for us! Thank you Caley!!
