Just as Advertised!It didn’t take long at all to feel right at home. The location truly can’t be beat...honestly, this view has to rank in the top three on all of Clear Lake. The house was perfectly stocked with everything we needed to settle in comfortably for our four-day stay.Everyone raves about the sunsets here (and rightfully so... they’re absolutely breathtaking), but I have to give a special shout-out to the sunrises. Simply unbelievable. Each morning greeted us with vibrant, dramatic colors that felt almost unreal. Yes, it means waking up early, but it’s 100% worth it to witness how a day begins on Clear Lake, CA.As for fishing, I spent time on my private dock every day, though the fish weren’t cooperating this trip. After talking with other anglers around the lake, it was clear everyone was experiencing the same slowdown. The water temperatures had dropped recently, and most agreed that was the cause. Even fishermen with high-end boats and sonar pulled up to my prime dock spot and tried their luck... with no success. Their fish finders showed plenty of bass holding near the bottom right under and around the dock, but they just weren’t active. That’s bass fishing when temps fall fast. I’ll get them next time!If you’re planning a trip to Clear Lake and want a peaceful, relaxing retreat, this is the place. It’s more than just somewhere to stay... it truly feels like home.
