« Best way to describe this cozy little place. We've stayed before & will book, again, next time we travel to Clayton. In fact, we won't travel to Clayton unless we can stay here. It's completely charming, close to the Boat Museum, an easy walk to the central shopping/eating area, and a long stone's throw to The River. Communication with the landlady is easy & thorough. Parking is a breeze. All photos posted are accurate & true. It's a charmer! »

« Everything about the house was amazing! We don’t own a boat so the owners provided us with a few local options, we chose Wagoner’s Marina. It was was easy to get to and the process there was smooth. Parked our car, loaded the boat and headed out to the island. The ride was about 5 minutes and easy to navigate. The wineries were very good, and the fishing off of the dock was great, we caught perch, catfish, large and small mouth bass. Location was perfect right between downtown Clayton and Alex bay. Susan and Ben responded quickly if we had a question. I would recommend this cottage. »

« Nice place to stay. It's a couple of blocks from the center of town and quite a walk but you can drive into town quite easily. Just hard to find parking in town during the busy season »

« House was clean inside. Had everything you need to cook in the kitchen. Needs a lot of work outside, but for the price that is offered you can close your eyes on all imperfections 😉. »

« Beautiful little cottage with fabulous decor that makes you feel like your in a luxury hotel! Comfortable beds, gorgeous linens and towels, etc. They've thought of everything you'll need for a nice lake adventure: from kayaks, chairs for the campfire, outdoor lounging and eating, charcoal grills, a beautiful sturdy dock for a boat and stable decking among the rocky ledges. We had one small drain issue with the shower, but the hosts were very responsive and sent someone out to fix it the next...

« Linda’s hospitality was amazing. We had a fantastic experience. We very much appreciated being guided in to the dock as we arrived to avoid shoals. The assistance getting our luggage to the house was so helpful. We enjoyed much of the island, walking and biking. Our large family felt very at home. There was plenty of room and the house has so much charm and character. Everyone we ran into knew the house and spoke so kindly of the family. We can’t wait to go back. »
