In town doing volunteer construction work. Enjoyed the Duke's Lake Cabin very much. Kim provided very good directions and sums up everything well in her property summary. Would not hesitate to stay here again!
We absolutely loved the property and Ms. Duke was such a lovely woman. The kayaks were a favorite with the little one. We liked it so much we told our family and friends so they can look into them as well.
My husband and I stayed here for a weekend. We had a very relaxing stay, just what we were looking for! Also, caught a few fish. This place is well stocked with all your daily essentials. The view of the river is beautiful. The property owner is very responsive and helpful. We hope to visit this cabin again or check out another property from this same owner in the future soon(:
Everything was wonderful from the Thunderstorms to the sandybeach on the creek! I have already told other friends about your cabins on the creek!
I am looking forward to my next visit!
This is our second time renting this cabin and we just couldn't be happier. I can't think of a better way to unplug than here by the creek with the fishing poles and kayaks. The cabin was clean and the Creek was flowing... can't get better than that.
From the drive to the cabin to the experiences of the nature around it, Kimberlyâs cabin is a much needed experience to those who need to detach from the outside world for a few days. Itâs better than what most fancy hotels have to offer. It feels more like home. I am definitely hoping to come back someday in the future.
We expected it to be rustic but a little junkier than we thought. The inside space was nice and appliances and supplies were great. There just was a lot of junk outside the cabin under the building old grills and stuff that seems like they couldâve been discarded and it would look a lot better. And lots of tree work being done with the downed trees all around so not sure whatâs going on with that.
We really enjoyed this little creek house and will probably try and stay there again someday. I would recommend a new mattress in the bedroom as it is older and reminds us of our grandmas, very soft and springy. This is a full mattress and not a queen but this was no problem for us. Well stocked with ktichen utensils and the antenna tv picked up several stations. We also brought along several DVD's as the TV does have a DVD player. Great trip and very relaxing staying next to the creek.
Pictures accurately reflect how the cabin looks. Getting to the property was rough with my little hybrid. Dealt with bugs (cockroaches?? - not sure don't live with them).
: Have off the grid expectations
: Kayaking was very fun going up and down the continuous flowing river đŁđŁ
: Lakehouse has A smart TV đș so viewing downloaded content on you connected phone đ±was great or you'd have to buy dvd's /VHS đŒ
: A/C was great in living area and đ bedroom
: fridge was nice and worked great
: I left two fishing đŁ poles & lures for next guest enjoyment
:Ms Kimberly was a very nice and friendly lady. i definitely see myself staying at another one of her properties
: i also did all store runs and shopping đ on a motorcycle (touring) đ so if i can get back and forth safely and it rained for majority of my stay there should be 0 reason you haven't already booked your off the grid(đ¶ đ«) stay with ms Kimberly.
you get signal at bottom of the stairs closest to the river/body of water
