« Charming miners cottages in the centre of Burra, within easy walking distance to eating & shops. Quiet, spacious, very comfy bed. Being winter the cottages do get cold but heat pump soon fixed that. When we arrived at the front of the cottages a notice on the gate said to check in around the corner at the office on site so we drove around only to find a board propped against a tree saying check in was now via the camp ground along the road. « A few days of rest and relaxation with our dog, surrounded by trees and birds. Really good break from day to day stress. Clean, comfortable accommodation. All interactions with hosts were pleasant and satisfactory. »

« Great location for getting around the Clare Valley. Nice quiet area. Well stocked with BBQ, firewood (it got cold at night), kitchen appliances etc. Fridge was very cold as it tended to freeze items at the back of shelves. Beds were very comfortable. Ticked all of the boxes.There was an attack of earwigs mainly due to the first lot of rain for a long time. (they all came out to celebrate).Overall we enjoyed the premisesThanks Peter »

« This cottage has been restored to perfection and was considered a home rather than a house by our family of six who stayed for four nights. The interior could be straight out of a glossy magazine and my Mum (in her 80's) was constantly wowed by the authentic vintage utensils on display. We were fortunate to meet our hosts who were even more charming than their cottage. « We absolutely loved our stay at the cotrage. We both love gardens, so it's setting in a garden was the icing on top of an already great experience.Generous breakfast supplies, a complementary bottle of wine and cheese as well as fire wood being topped up during our stay made us feel very welcomed. « Nice quaint cottage. V clean & tidy with good amenities. Only downside was the distance of the toilet from the main bedroom. Bed was super comfortable & the reverse cycle heating a blessing on the chilly nights. The real fire was a lovely bonus in the evening as was the outside BBQ. A small point was the cleaners forgot to empty the kitchen bin so we took it out ourselves. Overall a very enjoyable stay & would book again. « Lovely old, historic cottage that is part of many of the original dwellings in Auburn. Modern inside with a comfy bed, spa bath, functional full kitchen and a great little combustion wood fire place. Perfect for a cooler month stay. « House well equipped. Great views with Alpaccas, kangaroos, sheep and great views. Property manager welcomed us and accommodated our needs. Highly recommend the place. »

« We had many problems in the cottage, starting with difficulty getting the key out of the black box. Unable to contact owner or maintenance man on either numbers given. Heater not working, control panel very grimy, freezer shelf badly in need of defrosting, outside back light not working, wood stove not working efficiently because of ashes from previous fires, and no pan or tools to clean it out with. Because heater not working, insufficient wood for wood fire. cobwebs in 2nd bedroom. »

« The property is too old & very tired. Needs lots of upgrades. Outside was dirty & unkept, rubbish bins overfilling thru out whole stay. There were mice in side. No coffee, or breakfast foods. . Unusual especially when you fly in late on a Sunday. People usually leave milk, bread, cereal & eggs etc. Two burners didn’t work, hair dryer didn’t work, some lights didn’t work.
