There are some great aspects of this property. The primary bedroom bed was extremely comfortable, the home is beautifully designed, and the views of active volcanic eruptions from the bedroom were incredible. However, there were several significant issues:- Undisclosed cameras were installed in the pool/hot tub area and not mentioned anywhere in the listing or property materials, which raised privacy concerns.- We were also informed that someone would enter the backyard twice daily for pool maintenance. This level of access should be clearly disclosed prior to booking.- The listing advertises a “hot tub,” but it does not function as one. The host team confirmed it only reaches 38C during the day and 32C at night, and cannot maintain temperature when it cools down. It was not usable in the evenings.- The pool was cloudy and contained visible dirt upon arrival. It remained unusable for the first three days, was treated on day three, and only clear enough to use by day four of our seven-night stay.- There was also a safety issue with the hammock, where a deteriorated, non-weatherproof strap failed during normal use and caused a fall (very funny but hurt quite a bit)We completed the stay due to the difficulty of changing international travel plans, but these issues represent a meaningful gap between the listing and the actual experience. I strongly recommend that potential travelers verify these issues are resolved prior to booking.
