« The property is spacious, clean, and unique. Property manager is responsive. It is about 5-10 mins from the North entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. Most of the activities we wanted to do were through the West entrance which is about 25-30 minutes away. Either way, we had a great time and we enjoyed staying in this property. Dog friendly too, so we were able to bring our animal friends. Just make sure to clean up after them! »

« My girlfriend and I stayed at Rocky Roost for a Joshua Tree weekend getaway. We were initially drawn to the views and the secluded nature of the property, and we were not let down! Views were incredible - the shadows falling over the mountains across the valley made for an incredible backdrop for dinner each night - and we felt like we were the only people around. « Clean and comfortable. Very interesting Asian decor. Be aware, though, that the bathroom has an open shower and cement/pebbly floor. You might want to bring non-slippery water shoes to wear when showering. »

« Would definitely recommend this for anybody who wants to spend time by Joshua Tree and get the full desert experience! The location was convenient to visit both the park and other locations like Forty-nine palms oasis. The property touches the edge of the park so you are super close and get the park feel from the beginning! « overall it was very nice. the place is run down but it has it's charm. we were surprised that there were no recycling bins. the other part was we didn't know there was a property connected to ours. was fine with the first tenants, not so much with the second ones who started cranking their music at 10:00 am. kinda ruined the vibe for being out in the desert enjoying nature. overall it's an amazing spot. it's probably seen better days, would benefit from someone renovating it with updates. »
