« Staying here was an amazing experience and everything we needed for a quick trip to Ellensboro and Shelby area. Karen was amazing in meeting with and us when we arrived and also showing us around the property/facilities. « This beautiful, cozy cabin was one of the cleanest vacation rentals we’ve stayed in — even the up high windows were clean! We rested so well here and really felt like we had a get away. « Really neat place if you want to get away from city life and enjoy peace and quiet. Owners are very friendly and responsive. I wasn’t there long enough to try the breakfast “which upsets me because I’m sure it would have been delicious”. Plenty of wildlife and stock animals that I’m sure kids would love it. Almost stole their cat though. We became buddies and everytime I would go outside, here came my little buddy to keep me company. I would highly recommend a stay here. »

« The frame on the bed came apart, dumping the futon onto the floor. The closet is so small, I had to drag the futon outside to re-set the wheels into their tracks on the frame. The shower is an absolute joke - it dribbles. The silverware trays have a year of crumbs and filth in them. I am 5'10", 225 pounds and could barely execute stool paperwork due to insanely tight quarters in the bathroom. « This property was perfect for a mountain getaway. This cabin and throughout the neighborhood had spectacular views. The cabin is easily assessable for someone that cannot climb stairs since there are none, and you can park right in front of the door which made it nice for my elderly mom who has terrible balance. The kitchen is very nicely stocked and the beds are very comfortable. The couches are extremely comfortable as well. The host was very responsive and gracious with any requests we had....

« The most pet-friendly place we’ve stayed. A clean, fenced backyard, a balcony/deck with good railings (no worrying that a dog might fall off), one of the bedrooms on the first floor so we didn’t have to use the stairs. The property was private, so we didn’t need to worry about neighbors. A well-stocked kitchen was a nice touch. We really enjoyed our stay. »
