  • The Haven is a much loved Cotswold holiday home which sleeps four guests, in two inviting bedrooms, with one bathroom. This duplex apartment is laid out across the first and second floor of a beautiful Grade II listed building dating back to the 18th century. Many of the charming period features have been retained with exposed wooden beams, high ceilings and stunning sash windows throughout. The spacious sitting room boasts ample seating areas with sumptuous sofas and pretty window seats, ideal for relaxing after a long day exploring the diverse array of attractions across the Cotswolds. On warmer days, the private patio makes for a lovely spot to soak up the sunshine. Furnished in a contemporary yet comfortable style, The Haven is perfect to share with family or friends, living up to its name, providing a true haven in bustling Chipping Norton!

    This two bedroom holiday home in Chipping Norton is ideally suited for a family break or get together wth friends to explore the many charms of the North Cotswolds. The accommodation is laid out as follows:

    Please note the Chipping Norton Mop Fair takes place on the high street outside the property over the 3rd week of September. However, we would recommend checking the exact date ahead of placing your booking

We loved the Haven, so cosy and homely. Perfect location, the only negative is the car park very hard to get in and out but we managed it. Would 100 percent book again. Thankyou The Winsers xx

Great visit to the Cotswolds

Lovely two bedroom accommodation in ideal location. Particularly enjoyed the window seats overlooking the street. The only drawback was the outside steps up to the front door which we found difficult, probably due to our age!

Beautiful apartment, just what we were looking for

My partner and I had the most wonderful stay at The Haven. The moment we arrived we felt at home. The apartment is in the perfect area to explore the northern and central part of the Cotswolds, with just a 20 minutes drive to most of the places we wanted to visit. The space was much bigger than we anticipated, and was equipped with everything that we could've needed. Thank you for such an enjoyable and relaxing stay.

Silverstone

My son and I stayed for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone which is an easy drive along the back roads. The Haven was very clean and provided all the amenities we needed. There are several good restaurants and pubs in town and nearby. I appreciated the extra touch of a small carton of milk in the fridge and some scones for the first breakfast. Thank you.

Beautiful stay at The Haven

I'll start by just saying how easy it was to book with StayCotswolds and the customer service was impeccable from start to finish of our trip. We arrived at The Haven and was delighted by the size and cleanliness of this house, the pictures don't do justice in relation to the size and comfort of this place. The location is beyond perfect, right on the highstreet with plenty of shops and eateries. It's a perfect location to be able to go on a big hike taking in the beautiful views or visit all the amazing attractions like Blenheim Palace, shopping in Oxford, diddly Squat farm, the list goes on. We are really pleased with our choice of booking provider and The Haven where we chose to stay.

A fabulous stay

Fabulous location. Property is very bright and airy and very clean and in lovely condition. Very clear instructions for keys. Everything in the kitchen you'd need (apart from corkscrew). Only issue is the patio and stairs. Very slippy when wet and water settles on the tiles making them even slippier. A floor squeedgy would enable guests to get rid of water.

Excellent property having a bonus of allocated parking for one car. We found the security key number given for the passage way door of the sweet shop giving access to high street very useful. The property was very well presented particularly with the furnishings & picture displays. Terrace at the rear very useful in fine weather. Negatives would possibly be the lack of hanging facilities for clothes especially if four persons were staying in the property ( Hanging facilities in the lower bedroom but in the upper bedroom only 4 peggs ) A lot of steps within the accommodation would be a problem for those with mobility conditions.

Perfect Cotswolds getaway

My parents were visiting from Australia and honestly couldn't have been happier that we came across The Haven, and the dates aligned! The location was perfect for what we wanted and needed. So close to other cotswolds locations and right in the centre of Chipping Norton. Loved the views from the windows. The house was so spacious, we loved the open living area and amount of light the place gets when sunny. Both beds were so comfy, with high bedding. Great shower pressure and the house was toasty warm during the winter. The only slight challenge was the steep stairs and slippery on wet days to enter the property for my parents being a little older, however this was all communicated prior to booking and didn't take away from our stay. Just meant we were a little extra cautious. May be an issue for less able bodies. Felt very secure. The correspondence prior to our stay and how to access the house, parking etc. was informative and timely, and provided us with everything we needed. Thank you so much for the amazing mini break in the Cotswolds! We loved everything about it and would highly recommend staying here.

Short Stay At The Haven

We stayed at the haven from Tuesday to Friday. The accommodation is very spacious and well decorated. The kitchen is well equipped plus its location is right in the centre of Chipping Norton is ideal. It is close to Blenheim Palace and Didley Squat! It is very handy for places to eat and also a small local cinema (only 40 seats that includes two seater sofas!). The steps to access the property are narrow with a turn and VERY steep. In my opinion, anyone with a mobility issue would struggle to be able to make the climb. There is a small patio area by the front door (which can be split like a stable door which was nice) but no gate to the steps. Arrival instructions are a little confusing. If they had mentioned that vehicle access is from Albion Street it would have been a lot clearer. Also check-in time on the welcome email states 17:00 but in an un marked folder we found it states 16:00. We felt the property let itself down by not having any toilet roll holders in either of the toilets. A minor point I know but just a nice finishing touch that was missing. The smart TV does not seem to have any access terrestrial channels, but does have plenty of streaming services. The High Street is busy with traffic (you are above a sweet shop right on the High Street) but we did not notice the noise from inside the flat. The upstairs bedroom is in the roof and although the height of the room is no problem, it is high and feels airy, the doorway into the room is angled and low meaning that you MUST duck your head. The steps up to the bedroom are also quite steep as well. There is only one bathroom which is upstairs and includes a toilet, sink, bath and separate shower cubicle. There is a downstairs toilet next to the other bedroom. If I was going back to the area again would I stay here?, answer: there is no reason why I would not.

Take a small car

The place once we found it was lovely. Spotlessly clean and as described. Directions should state that the entrance mentioned is to the back of the property and not from the high street. Even using what three words we were not originally directed that way. A good old fashioned description would help. The parking space is down a tight lane. If you have a large car don’t even attempt parking there as the turning circle is small. The lock to from street entrance was broken, it would open from the property side but not the street. We checked and the latch wasn’t moving when using the outside handle, this was reported so will hopefully be fixed for the next visitor. The Blue Boar opposite is a great pub if that’s what floats your boat.
