« staff excellent. room clean, but could do with a fresh lick. food definitely needs improving »

« Great stay many thanks. Nice property but please keep it refurbed and up to date. Needs aircon for the summer, fans good but too hot as windows cannot be fully opened. Great service in the bar/restaurant but needs Guinness back rather than Caffreys Stout! Will miss the lamb skewers from new menu but the new sticky chicken ones are also good. That said a tad less bbq sauce would be ideal. »

« It was a lovely place to stay. We were travelers for the Chatsworth House and stayed here 1 night. Our room was excellent, and the food - for dinner and breakfast (both continental and english) was fantastic! »

« The location is fine and the view beautiful. The owners were very helpful when needed. A most enjoyable stay. »

« Property is self catering house at edge of the town. Spacious and decent kitchen. Road quiet (liked that) and easy access to nature reserve/countryside walks. Parking a bit of an issue but didn’t detract from our stay. »

« Lovely little cottage in a beautiful setting. Great walks around. Bed comfortable and lovely warm shower. The welcome package was very helpful as I arrived late on Sunday and forgot the English shops closed early! »

« I'll start with the good. Location is nice and peaceful. The bungalow is well laid out and there is plenty of room. Facilities inside the bungalow are good. Cooking and dining implements all there and lots of space. Bedrooms are nice and have plenty of storage for a short break. The garden is well maintained and enclosed although there is only 2 comfortable chairs and no swing or sofa. Parking around the back of the property is the best but you are encouraged to park at the front tucked...
