An hour after checking in and prior to leaving for dinner we discovered our TV didn’t work. We mentioned it to the clerk who said she would have a look while we were out to dinner if that was OK with us. We gratefully agreed and left for dinner. « Stayed here previously. Quiet room, comfy bed. Had our evening meal here, both had steak pie, very tasty and a bottle of red wine. Two bottles of water in room, plenty tea and coffee and one pack biscuits. We has booked breakfast the following morning, you pre-order the items the night before. We had a fruit yogurt and an actimel drink, orange juice. Tasty breakfast. We had toast and jam afterwards. Only downside was the filter coffee wasn't very strong. »

« The cottage is next to the main road. No staying up late in bed in the mornings, the road noise woke us up from 7am. Quiet at night. The location is good, very central to explore Northumberland. Cottage well equipped, especially the kitchen. Communication was good with host. Good options for restaurants (3 within walking distance) and take aways, Coop and Budgens in the village. »
