Charming home w/ fire pit, walk to Lake Michigan

Welcome to our home in a quiet neighborhood, a short walk to gorgeous views over Lake Michigan and two blocks to restaurants, shopping, and nightlife.

Gather around the fire pit and grill dinner in the back patio. Listen to our vinyl collection or stream your own music while playing board games next to the smart TV.

Super-fast internet, a fully equipped kitchen with coffee & tea, and in-unit laundry. Two comfy queen beds + a sleeper sofa. Here with kids? We have toys, a Pack n' Play, & more.

We have fully remodeled the first floor apartment of this Craftsman duplex to create a bright, open space with hardwood floors, central heating and air, modern furniture, and artistic touches from Wisconsin.

Each bedroom has a comfortable queen bed; some guests have purchased the mattresses for their own home after staying! Additionally, there is a sofa in the living room with a pull out bed that can sleep two and a Pack 'n Play for the youngest children. Large closets and luggage racks in each room will allow you to unpack and stay a while, and a free washer and dryer is in the hallway between the two bedrooms for when you want to get laundry done.

The living room has a 65 inch smart TV, a vinyl music collection with a record player that can also stream your own music, toys and games for the kids, and some books about things to do in the area to help you plan your adventures in Milwaukee. We often have several devices to connect when we visit, so the internet speed is the fastest available.

The kitchen features LG stainless steel appliances and a coffee bar stocked from our favorite local coffeehouse. We love to cook, so you should have everything you need if you choose to make a meal. There is a beautiful grey oak table in the dining room and a also a breakfast bar where your family can gather to eat. There are wine, martini glasses, and mixers in the built in cabinets in the dining room for your entertaining. We also have kid-friendly plates, cups and utensils for your children.

The bathroom has extra shampoo, conditioner, and toiletries in the closet if you need it.

The backyard patio is our favorite part of the house, with a beautiful area to relax around a fire pit at the end of your day and a grill and picnic table for family cookouts.

We have a very quiet tenant upstairs who you likely won't see, but since this is a 100 year old home, you might occasionally hear the wooden floors squeak.

Shorewood is a delightful community with amazing parks, beer gardens, restaurants, bars, and boutiques. We have listed some of our favorites in our guest book. Atwater Park and beach overlooking Lake Michigan is a pleasant 15 minute walk away. All of Milwaukee's downtown destinations are just 10-15 minutes away by car -- we love to take Lincoln Memorial Drive for beautiful vistas over the lake.
