Location is great. Wonderful views. Accommodations are well worn, underwhelming. Needs great deal of upgrades renovations. Owner should spend a little money to make your guests feel welcome. if you are going to spend time in this home, make sure you bring everything you need with you, cause this owner doesnât go out of his way to make your stay comfortable. Itâs like camping out with hot and cold running water available. Add should not say cozy cottage it should say â dicey cottageâ. Good luck.
We had such a relaxing and quiet time at this home. It was a beautiful setting and cozy inside. I enjoyed waking up to the water views and sitting by the dock. Will definitely stay again.
The cottage is located in a very quiet neighborhood with beautiful views of the lake. The lot is very private and spacious. The dock was great for fishing and relaxing in the evening sun. Lots of wildlife around as well!
My wife and I recently stayed at this beautiful hidden retreat, and it exceeded all our expectations. The cottage itself was charming, but the true highlight was the property and its breathtaking surroundings.Nestled by the lake, the cottage offered stunning panoramic views that immediately captivated us. We made the most of the serene outdoor setting, spending hours by the fireplace, swimming, walking along the pier, paddleboarding, and kayaking. The tranquil environment allowed us to disconnect and fully enjoy nature. This property is perfect for anyone seeking a peaceful and scenic escape. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend it to others.
Perfect for our family fishing trip! Clean. Country setting. Great location. Loved everything about it. Will definitely be booking again! Thanks for sharing your lovely property!
Loved this spot. Stopped in for a night on my way up north. Fantastic location and accommodation. Wouldn't hesitate to return. Wish I had stayed longer.
We visited the Cozy Cottage on Lake Norman recently for business in the area. We loved the location on Lake Norman. The property was clean and well stocked and well suited for our needs. The beds were pretty comfy and the rooms were not too small. Nicely furnished. It has a spectacular view of Lake Norman and a great fire pit with a small sand beach area. It has a great dock and a small boat ramp for launching kayaks or canoes or small boats. We are bass anglers and have a 21 foot bass boat, we would not recommend trying to launch your bass boat here, mainly because of the distance to turn around in the driveway, but it's perfect for smaller boats or a short trailer. The location is about 10-15 minutes from shopping and restaurants in Mooresville. We thought it was perfect because it was very quiet and relaxing and away from traffic. We also had decent cellphone service here.Only negative we noticed was that not all of the burners on the gas grill worked. However, it was adequate, we were able to cook a nice steak! Overall, we were extremely happy with our stay and would come back here again.
My stay at the lake was fabulous! But the house was not so fabulous. We got to the house after dark and there was no lighting outside at the front of the house. That made it very difficult to see to put the code in and unlock the door. There was a motion detected light on the side of the house that worked fine, but the same type of light on the front did not work. We did make the property owner aware of it.
Most of the house was clean enough, but it honestly could have been cleaner. There were small bugs on the kitchen counter and a couple larger bugs in the bathrooms...all were dead so just needed picked up or wiped up.
The front deck and walkway to the dock had a lot of leaves and pine needles making it treacherous to see where we were walking. I would say it was at least a few weeks of buildup.
We had no accidents so no issues there.
Tons of deer and animals to see! Beautiful sunrises and sunsets.
This property, if maintained well, would be GREAT!
We booked the cottage for a last min. trip to visit friends. The booking was fast and easy. The cottage was in a great location, had fun outdoor toys and was very cozy. There was a hiccup with the place being ready when we arrived but the mgmt. co. called us immediately and sent several crews out within the hour to rectify the situation. We were able to bring our dog Boo and enjoyed a comfortable and relaxing weekend away. We will be back.
When we arrived the freezer was gushing out ice into the main draw - I telephoned left message - they rang back and said they were getting a new one the week after we leave. So freezer was hard to use and fridge was freezing things also.
The dishwasher was very old, tired and noisy.
The stove was old and had seen better days. I purchased new baking trays to use in the oven as the old ones there had also seen better days.
There were only 3 odd mugs - If there had been 4 people it would have been a problem. We purchased new mugs. All the glasses were plastic and old. They were a milky color where they had been in the dishwasher too many times.
We purchased some âglassâ wine glasses and tumblers.
The bathrooms needed an overhaul. The lever you pull up to put the plug down was rusty and broken.
Outside the BBQ was unusable. The rungs inside were completely rusted and unless there were very busy spiders making webs in a day I would say it hadnât been used this year. It was covered in cobwebs.
For the money we paid we expected better utilities.
Having said this, the location could not be faulted. It was beautiful. I just wish the cabin had matched the location.
We only live 1.5 hr away but wanted to stay on the lake with a ramp and deck. We had a little challenge in turning the truck/boat trailer but was able to launch easily. We traveled with our dog who thoroughly enjoyed playing on the beach. It was nice to have a great vacation where we could use our own boat and bring the pooch! And it didnât require several hours of driving!
What a wonderful time my wife and I had with our Lab Maximus. Between relaxing on the porch to renting a Pontoon, we managed to just get away for a week of rest and recharge. Thank you so much for your hospitality. Maximus really enjoyed the Lake Life.
