Our guests and neighbors also rave about Welton's Tiny Bakeshop and Kudu Coffee. We recommend going to either for a cup of locally-roasted coffee or their delicious cookies and cakes. The house is only a short walk from the very popular King Street where you will find a multitude of great shops – including antique shops, book stores and fashion boutiques – as well as endless buzzing restaurants and bars.

You can walk almost everywhere - but should you want to rest your feet, there are many other options for getting around: Uber, Lyft, Charleston Bike Taxi, Charleston Rickshaw, Green Taxi or Yellow Cab.

Liked the quick walk to King Street. Kitchen was set up very nice. Laundry was right there and easy to throw a quick wash in. I didn't realize there was no dishwasher, but we out the majority of the time and didn't need it. The clawfoot bath tub was cool, but a little harder to get in an out if your older. Overall, great stay. Perfect for our small group.

Really charming unit in a cute old house! Comfortable living room, full kitchen, stacked washer and dryer (awesome to use midweek!), comfortable beds, plenty of drawer space and hangars. The decor was nice and the slant to the floors of the old place was endearing. Wished the weather was better for our time there to use back patio, which is as cute as it looks in the pictures. Fabulous location, easy walk to churches, bagel shops, and a few blocks up to King. Parking spot was nice feature. Two things to note (not bad, just to note). Unit only has one bathroom with a clawfoot tub; you need to be able to climb over the side of the tub (and nowhere but the bottom of the tub to keep shower items). Also, entry door leads up narrow steep steps. Again, not bad, but notable if you have heavy bags. Would stay here again!

This was the most perfect VRBO for my friends and I! Communication with the property owner was 10/10 they even provided us with local recommendations and made the check in/out process so easy! The location of the property was prime for shopping/nightlife/ and restaurants.

We had a great time in Charleston and this place was perfectly located for all our activities. My daughter wanted to tour the College of Charleston which was walkable. King street, also walkable was a highlight for us as there are tons of boutiques, coffee shops and cafes to fill an entire day. The suite is charming. I loved the lush landscape surrounding the walkway to the porch and patio. The only reason I did not give this place a 5 is because of the shower. It’s a small claw footed tub that’s too small for a bath but awkward for a shower. The only place to out toiletries is on the floor of the tub which leaves little room. It took a multiple for it to heat up as well

Great location

As in other reviews, yes the floors are slanted and the stairway narrow. Realize this is in the heart of Charleston and the homes are historically older. Very cozy neighborhood. Walking distance to great restaurants and shopping; a few steps away to a few streets away. Bicycle taxi's a great way to see historic Charleston. Thanks for the nostalgic stay.

Lovely 2BR, 2 short blocks from King

Girlfriends long weekend and we rented this cute historic gem just two short blocks off the top of king. slanted floors and tight curved staircase with narrow stairs if you have mobility issues be aware of that (fully disclosed in the original listing). Very nice furnishings, comfortable beds Awesome shared patio space. Definitely will rent again

Quiet and in the heart of Charleston

The rental's location is a short walk to the heart of Charleston activity center and in a quiet neighborhood. The unit is comfortable and just like the pictures. The communication about parking was confusing and inaccurate, but someone answered the phone number provided and clarified. Beautiful city to visit!

Perfect Charleston Retreat for 2

Our stay at The Inns was the perfect apartment retreat that allowed us a home to rest and recharge after full days of exploring. This apartment is exactly as advertised with a full kitchen, full bath, and multiple sleeping areas (although we only needed to use one of them). We could not possibly beat the location as it was walking distance to King Street and all other local attractions. The area was quiet and we always felt safe. The floors are uneven but this just speaks to the age of all downtown Charleston properties. The apartment was clean and equipped with all amenities. Two amenities we thought would be helpful additions to have for travelers are bathroom spray and a hairdryer.

Updated old house in a good location

We were surprised to find that the wood floors throughout were very not flat - they seemed to roll in different directions which made me think a bit of being on a boat. The fixtures and everything in the place is in good shape. Beds are comfy with good toiletries (just missed having any tissues). AC worked fine and beds were comfortable. Going back and looking at pics the outside seating area I don’t think has any sofas anymore and didn’t look remotely appealing but there were a couple chairs on porch near entry that one of us used. Parking was fine. I quite liked location - we did walk all the way down to end by water - it is a bit of a schelp but doable. Some good eateries nearby but easy to get to anything in historic area.

Charming Historic Home

My husband, teenage daughter, and I stayed here while in town for college visits and spring break. The house was perfect for us! So much better than being in cramped hotels rooms like we were in the first two nights of our road trip. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. We loved that it was an old, classic Charleston property. Our daughter fell in love with the cute little room with two twin beds. Some reviews mention that parking is tight, and while it was a bit, we have a large SUV and managed just fine. We were able to walk to King street with no problem and when we did have to drive to places like the Battery parking was never an issue. I would absolutely recommend this property and hope to stay there again myself in the future!

Perfect Spot

Perfect spot with parking! Pictures need to be updated and you really should include a pic of the stairs. The floors definitely have a lean to them so be aware. Master mattress needs to be replaced as you roll to the middle.
