« The property is located in a beautiful forested area. Martha, the owner, was an outstanding hostess. She was friendly and very helpful. The home cooked breakfasts were well prepared and delicious. « We had a great one night stay. I got caught up in a wave down by the beach and was soaked from head to toe. The hosts insisted on washing and drying all of my clothes and left them by our room while we went and enjoyed the area. The room was very comfortable, great bed and wonderful hosts. »

« The motel looked like it had been renovated at some time or another but it didn’t look like they were keeping up with maintenance and the room could have definitely been cleaner. « We really enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean and comfortable. A good nights sleep is so important on vacation and all the beds were very comfy. We enjoyed a week of quilting, shopping at a great quilt shop in Susanville, visiting breathtaking Mt Lassen Park and Burney Falls. We hope to return next year to explore more of the area. »

« If you’re looking for a high class interior, don’t come here. It’s really all about the great outdoors. The hot tub and exterior of the house is wonderful. Very kind people here, very quiet. It’s just that the farmhouse looks better in the photos than it actually is. It’s totally functional though and was perfect for our needs. »

« The RV we had reserved did not have a functioning refrigerator so we were "upgraded" to a larger place. It did not have the same amenities as the original place. Instead of a full kitchen, there was a hot plate and tiny microwave. Instead of a dinette table, there was a postage stamp sized table that barely held 2 plates. There was no couch. . « Well, it did not feel like a resort. It was mostly like a trailer park with tents, cabins and trailers. I think the property needs to have a landscaping consultant to evaluate and redesign it to feel more like a resort. Also hard to find entrance off Hwy44 at night as the sign is faded and without any lighting. »

« Home is in a great spot to access the southern entrance to Lassen, just make sure the Lassen highway is open when you book. We were surprised to find the highway was still about half closed in the high elevations due to remnant snow still not cleared in mid-June. This meant less access to the park, but most annoyingly a 2 hour(!) drive to get to the North Entrance of the park. « I can’t say enough about this place. I usually always stay at high-end hotels and let me tell you something, these folks do it right!! We had an amazing meal that we cook on their barbecue grill. They were so accommodating from anything from olive oil to utensils even cutting boards and let me just tell you an amazing breakfast cook to order and again great host also impressed with their sheets, towels and bedding I did not want to leave, I even made a comment today adopt me. 😉 »
