"Excellent staff. Really decent looking rooms. My only issue was that I was in a room where there was an adjoining door and the other room could hear all my conversations and complained about the noise when I played a word game on my phone. Needs more insulation. "

"I stayed at Costa Rica Guesthouse twice - the beginning and end of my solo trip because i liked it so much! The location was great for walking to local attractions and driving to the airport. The free parking was perfect. The staff was great and super helpful and the room was spacious!"

"Charming little gem in the middle of the city. Clean and bright rooms with beautiful gardens. Surrounding neighborhood area is a bit rough so walking isnt advisable. Great breakfast included. The only thing I would suggest the owners add are extra door locks for security once inside the room. These only have small pin locks on the door handles."

"The hotel was clean, the restaurant food was great and the staff were very friendly. They even have 2 resident cats that hang around the property, and they were very sweet. We used the shuttle service to get to the airport, and it only took around 30 min with traffic. I would definitely recommend this hotel!"

"Convenient location, friendly staff and nice view of the Arenal Volcano. Love the heated and non heated pools. Breakfast was good. We had some minor issues but management solved it in a timely manner. The massive gift shop attached to the hotel got some great souvenirs. Would recommend this hotel. "
