« We have enjoyed a fantastic 2 night stay, the location was spot on only 2 minutes to Lake Windermere and the ferry landing point. Colin is the perfect host, very attentive, knowledgeable of the area and looked after us well. Breakfast was a lovely; full English in a cosy setting. The room was fine with all amenities. It was our birthdays whilst there and Colin decorated the room, these touches are most appreciated. Definitely recommend 10/10 »

A common problem with all accommodation in the Uk is that only having a Duvet on the bed to hot to use and worst no top sheet, Duvets are to hot in winter because of the heating and to hot in summer with no air conditioning and with no ventilation...

« Stayed in room 6 on the top floor for a romantic weekend away with the Mrs. The room was lovely and the bath was a really nice added extra. We had a slight issue with one of the radiators not heating which caused the room to be cold, however I called one of the provided numbers and an electric heater was provided within literally 5 minutes by a lovely girl working there. « Really nice place, with very nice owners who were friendly and helpful, good location, nice room in this well maintained guest house, and nice breakfast menu, including a full English breakfast (additional cost). Parking is on the street in this residential neighborhood and could be tricky if no spaces are available, although I didn't have that problem. Very happy with the place. « Fantastic central location in Bowness - an abundance of shops and restaurants are on the doorstep, and the jetty is a just a short walk away. The allocated parking is a huge benefit. The garden outside the property is absolutely stunning, and the room was spacious, spotless, comfortable and full of charming character (the Puddle-Ducks theme was a lovely touch). The morning breakfast hamper with breads, fruit, yogurt, and juice was really nice too. Highly recommended »

« The host cancelled my booking the day before I was due to book in because I use a walking stick and the room was on the middle floor. When I made the booking there was no mention on the booking page about about difficulties I may have. The reason given was not enough room on the expedia page. I was also refused a refund, which I find very disappointing as it was the host who cancelled my booking, not myself. Very disappointed allround. »
