This stay could not have been more perfect! The house was beautiful and had everything we possibly could need for our month long stay. The host was the sweetest and best host and she was quick to respond and helped us with everything we needed. She is fantastic! This house is walking distance to the beach and it was such a treat for us! This was one of the best stays we’ve ever had and the play room for the kids was amazing too!

Amazing Stay

Four lifelong friends gathered at Kimberly and Jeff's home and had a wonderful time. They were VERY communicative, kind and responsive. We sat for hours in the beautiful back yard around the gas fireplace. I haven't ever seen such a well-appointed kitchen in a rental, the house was spotless and the beds were very comfortable. They even had soap and lotion which a lot of these places don't as well as treats for us. Were we ever to be in the area again, we will definitely be staying there. Thanks Kimberly and Jeff !

Fantastic house, location, and hosts

I cannot say enough good things about our stay at this property! The house is amazing - clean, well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and plenty of space. And the real MVP was the playroom. The location is awesome; just 2 blocks and some stairs down to the beach. The beach is narrow so during high tide there is little to no beach but it wasn't crowded which was great. Kim & Jeff were both awesome hosts. They were quick to communicate, offered wet suits for the kids, and made check-out a breeze. We look forward to returning!

Very Nice Home Close to Beach

Two blocks from beach. Beautiful house with great amenities and nicely decorated. Very thoughtful and responsive hosts. One of the best that we have rented over the years.

Perfect extended family vacation at the beach

We had a perfect week staying at Kim & Jeff's beach house. The house was a great fit for our family (3 generations), the kids loved the play room, the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed (we cooked 3 nights in the house) and we all enjoyed the comfortable lounging areas, plenty of space for our quiet moments and sitting outside at the fire pit. Jeff and Kim were perfect hosts and kindly allowed us to borrow some wetsuits, the house is just a short walk to the beach. Our kids are already asking when can we go back!

Perfect family beach house in Carlsbad!

This house was perfect for my family's one week stay in Carlsbad. My two younger sons (8 & 11) loved hanging out in the playroom with the toys and the foosball table. My 13 year old loved her room and could find plenty of spots around the house, inside or out, to unwind when she wasn't hanging out with us. House is in a quiet neighborhood and the beach was about a 10 min. walk. Even during the busy days there was no problem finding a spot on the beach to set up for the day. House is also close to attractions (Legoland) and about a 10 min drive to Carlsbad Village for shops and restaurants. And if you don't want to drive and park, there's a train about a 5 min walk from the house that you can catch that takes you into Carlsbad, or down to San Diego if you're heading that way. Very convenient. The house was clean and spacious, and the pictures and descriptions were accurate. This isn't a house where you get there and realize the pictures are dated and everything isn't quite as nice as you expected. The house is awesome! What really set the experience apart for us compared to previous rentals were the hosts. Kim was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions. When we expressed interest in surf lessons she went out of her way to provide recommendations and even left wetsuits for all three kids. The lessons were one of the big highlights of the trip for our kids. We had one of our best vacations and would love to return in the future. Thanks Kim & Jeff!

Great Beach House

This Carlsbad beach house was perfect for our family vacation! The location was perfect. A very nice south Carlsbad State beach was easily accessed by a 10 minute walk. The house itself was located in a cul-de-sac neighborhood which was nice and quiet. Kim and Jeff thought of every need in the house including skewers for roasting marshmallows on the outdoor fire pit. The converted playroom garage area was fully stocked with toys that fit all age groups. Our grandsons had hours of fun in the playroom! There was easy access to Interstate 5 making it easy to get to San Diego and various theme parks. Thank you Kim and Jeff for sharing your beautiful beach house!

Amazing place for a family!

This home was so great for our family of 6! We have 4 kids 8 and under and Kim & Jeff converted the garage into a kids room and it was the best! The kids loved it! We had a 6 month old baby and they had extra baby items, bouncer, High chair, crib and other things that were great to have since we couldn’t fit those in our suitcases. The fire pit was a hit for our kids too! The beach was about a 10 min walk away and down a set of stairs and it was the perfect distance for our kids to walk to and from. The house was very clean and organized. We also went to Legoland and it was a 10 min drive. Jeff & Kim even gave us wetsuits for our kids, which was really nice! They made the whole process easy. We will definitely be staying here again next time we come down!

Couldn’t be a better Legoland Stay

The property was clean and well appointed. I generally expect this from a rental. What put this over the top was the kids playroom and closeness to both the beach and Legoland. Perfect for a family with young kids!

Best stay EVER

This house is an absolute dream. When you imagine getting a house close to the beach, you wouldn’t even hope it was this good. The pictures are accurate. It was spotlessly clean and had everything you could need. The neighborhood felt so safe and welcoming. My 80-year-old in-laws took a walk every morning and loved it. We had three generations staying at the house, and we all had enough living space and hangout space. The owners are beyond gracious and wonderful to communicate with. Do yourself a favor and book this house!

Amazing Family Friendly Stay

Perfect getaway location! The house is so family friendly and conveniently located. We enjoyed the beach, Lego Land and the zoo. All 3 generations were happy! It is one of the nicest stays we’ve had as the owners have thought of everything and were so nice to rent from. Hope to go back!

The perfect getaway for families with young kids!!

Our family was so happy that we found this house in Carlsbad! It was perfectly located for our beach day, SD zoo day, and legoland. Even staying in the home was great due to the perfect playroom for kids that kept them entertained for hours. There is something for everyone in the home. The backyard was great to hang out in with the fire pit and patio furniture. The interior of the home was great for entertaining, especially the kitchen and dining area. The kitchen contained all the essential cookware needed. All the bedrooms are upstairs with a baby gate already installed at the top of the stairs which was perfect for our little ones. We met the owners, Jeff and Kim, who are wonderful hosts and readily available for anything you should need in your trip as they are right next door! We can’t wait to come back as a family and enjoy vacations for years to come in this Carlsbad home.

Absolutely Incredible!

Wow. This home is perfection! We head to Carlsbad yearly for the 4th of July and this is by far our favorite home. The kitchen is stocked, the play room is wonderful, the beds are so cozy, and steps away from the beach! The homeowners are the sweetest, leaving goodies for the kids and jumped onto any requests we had, including helping find a babysitter! We will be back and we cannot recommend this rental enough! Thank you Jeff and Kim!

Great location and well appointed

We enjoyed our stay at this great property. Owners were easy to communicate with and so accommodating. House was very clean and well appointed. The play room for kids is also amazing. Short walk to the beach and plenty of beach equipment on hand to use. Nice central location to all things Carlsbad, Oceanside and San Diego. Legoland, the zoo, safari park, aquarium, and delicious u-pick it strawberries close by.

Such a Great Home for a Family Getaway

Loved everything about this property! Location was great- a short walk to the beach; enough spaces for everyone- the playroom was perfect for our grandkids (and even our adult kids at night); and the kitchen was stocked well enough for us to cook every meal. Best family vacation ever.

Everything we needed for an amazing family vacation was included in this VRBO. Our kids and grandkids had so much fun. The playroom was perfect and well equipped for "down time". Quiet time around the fire pit after the kids were asleep was amazing. The hosts were very accommodating and the thought of everything a family would need.

Carlsbad family vacation

Beautiful house! Fully equipped with everything we needed and the kids loved the playroom. All four bedrooms and two full bathrooms are upstairs (plus a half-bath downstairs). Three of the bedrooms share one hall access bathroom, so maybe not an ideal setup for multiple non-related families but worked fine for our 3- generation family group. We all enjoyed our stay!

We had an amazing stay! Logistics and communication were seamless. Beautiful home, location is excellent, quiet neighborhood, easy stroll to the beach, steps to the train station yet no train noise. The best part however was the play room! We had 4 kids that would have spent the trip playing in the playroom if we'd have let them! Definitely would recommend this stay!

Fabulous property!

My husband and I stayed here with our 3 kids (ages 8, 6 and 1) and our nanny. The house was perfect for us. It had everything you could possibly need in the kitchen and beach chairs/toys for having fun at the beach. The beach was such a short walk away it was so nice. The playroom was perfect for keeping the kids entertained while we made meals or got ready in the morning. We had family foosball tournaments and had so much fun we'll be buying a foosball table when we return home! The home was a quick drive to all the activities we did - San Diego Zoo, Legoland, Flower Fields, Torrey Pines, Encinitas. It was a great spring break trip for us and we'll definitely return. The hosts were easy to contact and made everything great.
