« I spent 4 nights at The Inn at Moonlight Beach and I was still not ready to leave! Every morning I took a nice long stroll down Moonlight beach, and stopped off for coffee at Lofty. A wonderful breakfast basket was waiting for me when I returned with fresh fruit, a chia seed parfait and green juice. I stayed in Sweet Bay, which had nice high ceilings, a comfortable bed, a mini kitchen and a large soaking tub. All of the touches were so well thought out. « A lot of construction and workers with doorways blocked and loud noises and horrible paint fumes. Should have been clear this was going on before I booked this place »

« The rooms are quite nice and probably recently renovated; the downside is that there are construction crews currently working on the property. The only issue that presented was a slight squeeze for parking. »

« Great place to stay in the San Diego area, located in a high-end neighborhood inside a golf club. The rooms, which appear to have been recently and tastefully renovated, are spacious, clean, and quiet. The welcome amenities (gummy bears and nuts) are a nice touch. We will definitely stay here again when we’re back in the area. The only minor downside for us was the lack of a full sit-down breakfast service, although there are plenty of places for breakfast just a short drive away. »

« I would have put a better score if this hotel would have been classified four stars, but it was classified five (with a five stars tag price), which it is not! Not the room, not the situation (no direct access to the beach —  you have to cross two streets), certainly not the kitchen, especially for breakfast, not the bedding, not the linen, not the coffee machine, not the space in the room, not the honesty regarding your reservation, not the tranquility of the place (we were woken up every hour...

« You can feel doors closing from other rooms while you are in your room and it shakes the room, walls are thin. Room overall was clean beds were ok and pool was clean. Breakfast was overall good, but everything wasn’t getting stocked and when we asked the staff they scoffed on the first morning there but there was no coffee at all, no cereal no milk. If these things don’t bother you I would say the room itself was good, and that’s what you get for a budget hotel. »
