The Space:
This beautifully renovated Victorian home has all the modern updates that meet period charm! The owners took pride and sought to equip their home to anticipate your needs during your stay. Located just 1 short block to the town's shopping and restaurants. Only 4 blocks away from the beautiful Cape Charles town beach.

This home offers 2 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, living area, media office with Murphy bed, dining area that seats up to 8, a modern gourmet kitchen with quartz counters, mother of pearl backsplash, stainless steel appliances, and double oven, coffee station with Keurig, traditional coffee pot and French press. The second level offers 2 spacious bedrooms and 2 full baths. Tastefully decorated throughout, accented with Cape Charles art by Eastern Shore artists.

Entertainment
Free WiFi. TVs in each bedroom and living room have streaming channels (Netflix, Amazon Prime/Roku) and Blu-ray/DVD players with over 150 movies to choose from! All in one CD/Bluetooth/Radio/Record Player. Board games, puzzles, books, and kids toys & games.

Outdoor Space
The front porch invites you with a swing and rocking chairs.... Relax, chat, wave and make new friends in this beach neighborhood. The back yard provides privacy for grilling and outdoor dining. A cozy setting with adirondack chairs around the propane fire pit.

We offer convenient door codes for self-check-in. Chesapeake Properties by Portoro uses convenient keyless entry for self check-in, details provided 2 weeks (or less) prior to arrival by email and text message.

• Early check-ins or late check-outs: If the property happens to be ready earlier than the standard 4 pm check-in time on the day of your arrival, in most cases an early arrival option may be available when confirmed with the main office. Late check-outs must be confirmed with main office staff prior to the date of departure.

Cape Charles is located near the southern tip of Virginia’s Eastern Shore right on the Chesapeake Bay. Cape Charles is a small town (the historic area is roughly a six block by six block square) that sits on the peninsula’s western coast… meaning you can sit on the beach in Cape Charles and watch the sunset right over the water. On the Chesapeake Bay, not the Atlantic Ocean, the water is calm and shallow. - All guests staying at an Chesapeake Properties Vacation Rentals by Portoro (Portoro Homes) are required to sign (esignature) a rental agreement and complete identity registration.
- Age restrictions apply. Reservation holder must be 25 years of age.
- Upon arrival, we aim to ensure your safety, proper access to the home, and guest features. Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to Chesapeake Properties by Portoro directly.
- Known damages incurred during your stay must be reported to the property manager immediately.
- Before check in, we will send you detailed directions to ensure a seamless arrival.
- Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. Check-out time is 10:00 a.m.
- We cannot guarantee early check ins or late checkouts. When it is possible to check in early or check out late, there will be a fee for anything outside of a one hour window within our standard times. If your need for an early check in or late check out is great, your best option is to book an additional night.
- Some homes have cameras for external monitoring only.
- HOTEL TAX COLLECTION: In the State of Virginia and in Northampton County, all hotel and vacation rental hosts are required to collect hotel tax. We collect these taxes within the booking transaction.
- Some homes offer pools/hot tubs, or access to communal pools. There is no guard around the water features when available. Use at your own risk.
- This is a No Pets property. A daily rate fee of $150.00 will apply for violations and you may be asked to vacate the premises with no refund at the discretion of the Host.
- This is a No Smoking property. Penalty fees for violations will apply and you may be asked to vacate the premises with no refund at the discretion of the Host.
- For the safety of guests and the home, there are noise monitoring devices. These devices only measure the decibel level and do NOT record any audio.

Interaction with Guests:
Our goal is that your vacation exceed your expectations. Chesapeake Properties by Portoro communicates via email and phone. After a booking is confirmed, rental agreement will be emailed to the guest for e-signature. Check-in instructions are sent by email and text message 14 days (or less) prior to arrival date. We offer convenient keyless entry for self-check in. We do typically check in with guests by text 1-2 times during their stays to ensure a 5-star experience and remain available for any questions. We are available to guests 24/7 for any inquiries.

The house was very clean and cozy feeling. The bedrooms upstairs were both very spacious and the two full bathrooms upstairs was nice as well. The house was very close to town and was a nice walk to the shops and restaurants.

The property was comfortable & well laid out, with plenty of the amenities such as towels, soap, 2 coffee makers. and 1/2 bath downstairs. The only concerns we had were the toilet upstairs kept running & the gas tank in the fire pit was out. We informed the property management & they took care of the fire pit right away. The toilet fix was not resolved when we were there, but we do realize it’s probably hard to get someone over the weekend. Nevertheless we had a fabulous time!

Our family of six had the most wonderful stay at Peach Perfect! Chesapeake Properties was so attentive and responsive with communicating info. House is clearly updated and well maintained! It is in perfect, clean condition stocked full of thoughtful additions like kids toys, books for all ages, DVDs, games, etc. Location was ideal — 1 block from Central Park and 1 block from downtown either way, on a very quiet street. Outside dining and seating area was lovely with a nice view of the chapel. Our four young kids stayed in the same bedroom and loved their home away from home. We hope to book this property again in the future!

True to its name, Peach perfect

Lovely home, great location - never had such a fully equipped kitchen. The Murphy bed room is extremely small but was fine for our 8 & 10 year olds. Will certainly book it again

Perfect home base in Cape Charles

We absolutely loved our stay in Cape Charles. The house was perfect for our family. Especially loved the proximity to stores and the beach - and porch living! We did have a little trouble with the wifi on our last day but just another reason to go to the beach. One thing to keep in mind is that the front bedroom has a few uncovered windows - may not be the best location if you like to sleep in.

Wow! What a property!!!

Beautiful house that was well designed and stocked from the amenities from the awesome backyard with fire pit and gas grill to the kitchen that had new and nice glass wear and cutlery. Sitting on the covered front porch during an evening thunderstorm to relaxing in the spacious living room. This house promoted rest and relaxation.

We loved the house and its well-appointed backyard. There was lots to do in the area and we had a very nice visit. Lots of places were closed mid week at this time of year, but we found a few very good restaurants open. We had to contact the management company twice to get our check-in info, but they were very responsive after that.

Fantastic house!

We were lucky to be one of the first few renters in this property, and let me tell you - it is incredible!! This is one of the most beautiful, well-decorated, and thoughtfully stocked houses I've ever been in. Seriously, I would like whoever designed this place to come make over my house. The beachy vibe carries perfectly through the whole house with beautiful artwork, comfortable furniture and good lighting. The kitchen has everything you could think of - including melamine/plastic dishes and cups that are perfect for kids - all neatly labelled. The bedrooms have comfortable beds, dark curtains so everyone can sleep late, and plenty of dressers/hooks for storing clothes. The outdoor shower is so fun, and the indoor bathrooms are clean and well-finished. The ONLY thing I could think that they didn't have that would've been helpful is hand soap in the bathrooms, but that was it. They thought of everything else. There are beach towels in the laundry area and also nice quality beach umbrellas and chairs in the storage bin put back. They weren't listed here and rental company didn't know about them so we squeezed our own into the car, but they're there! The property is right at the edge of town with the best shave ice spot on the next block and fantastic breakfast pastries at Coastal Baking down the street. A few long blocks from the beach, but if you can, rent a golf cart. It is SO worth it!! Book it now, they book up crazy fast. The ONLY negative we had was that we cancelled another property through the same company to switch to this house and it took them SIX WEEKS and a lot of follow-up to get our money back. That was pretty frustrating, but the actual house was incredible and we loved every minute we spent in it.
