- The lakefront land below the home is owned by the Army Corps of Engineers, and the private property line ends approximately 5 feet beyond the back balcony. There is a public stair path that leads down toward the water, but it is steep, and some guests have found it difficult to navigate. The drop from the home to the water is approximately 150 feet
- Canyon Lake water levels are currently low due to drought conditions, so swimming access may be limited
