Hidden in a remote corner of Peru's Ausengate region, a 4 hour's drive outside of Cusco and after a good trek, Vinicunca is a remote place frothing with travelers helped by these locals to experience the colored landscapes.
One of the many interesting Incan sites along the way from Puno to Cusco.
A 2 hour high altitude hike to this view at 5200 metres. About 2.5 hour drive to get to the starting point. You can also view this area within a 4 day trek which I will do next time.
