Modest and comfortable

Small rooms, bo microwave, sometimes less than clean. No space to cook anything. But cheap.

This was a very dissapointing establishment.

Room facilities minimal. No phone, some lights not working, cobwebs in living area, bathroom dirty.......showing signs of neglect and decay. Even the curtains had bulldog clips holding them together!! I have since been advised the motels in Northbourne Avenus Downer are all similiar. I just cannot unserstand how Miranda Lodge acheived a 4.5 star rating unless the owners are rating it!

Convenient location with cooked breakfast included

Great value. Quaint little room with big tv and free wifi. Terrible mattress though. It was so hard we couldn't sleep. I thought we might have a problem with road noise but this wasn't the case. Breakfast was included and it was cooked individually for us and was delicious!

Good value for money

This is a comfortable place to stay in a convenient location. The rooms are ageing a little, but it's easy to find, there's free parking on-site and breakfast is included. Although it fronts onto busy Northbourne Avenue the double-glazing means that noise is not a problem. The staff are friendly and helpful, and it's an easy walk to Dickson shops where all sorts of restaurants are located. We've stayed here before, and would be happy to stay again.

Nice simple clean budget hotel.

Only needed somewhere simple to stay while I spent a couple of days seeing a few sites in Canberra. Miranda Lodge suited that puropse, not flashy but clean and with with helpful staff

Pleasant stay

Clean, convenient to all restaurants in Dickonson. Plenty of hot water. Overall it is tired, but everything works and is clean. English breakfast very good.

Nice place and very close to a lot of facilities.

A great place, we only stayed there for one night. Breakfasts was great and loads to chose from.

Nice little GEM in Canberra

Was a quiet room with basic necessities and good fast free wifi. Adequate desk for work. Exceptional cooked breakfast included in price. Will likely stay again

Convenient location good value for what you pay

I have stayed here a few times mainly because it is convenient and it is good value for what you pay if you get a good deal. On this occasion the shower was ultra-low flow and not working properly.

Avoid this one

The door couldn't be locked, luckily I only stayed one night, came late and left early. It was really dirty with hair on the pillow, spider web above the bed, lots of sticky places. I just slept with my clothes on. Breakfast was terrible and really not worth it. Avoid the fruit unless you want to spend most of the day in the toilet. At least it was easily accessible and close to the venue I was visiting for.

Convenient , right on highway so noisy . Could have chosen better , however at the price it was value for money , Breakfast was very satisfying .

close to shops and city

I found the outside stairs very difficult for my elderly mother to climb especially in the rain. Both beds in our room were extremely hard and uncomfortable. The curtains had to be held together with a bulldog clip. The room was very old and could do with a renovation but it was clean.
