Summary:

Settle into Santuario, a colourful private basement suite in Calgary’s Kensington area. Enjoy a king Casper bed, a full kitchen, your own laundry and keyless entry through a private side entrance. Curated art, an emerald velvet sofa and a hand-painted dining mural make this a stay with personality. Sleeps up to four, with two single beds available in the living room. A desk, Smart TV, coffee and tea, and free street parking make short visits and longer stays easy.



The Space:

Santuario is a self-contained, approximately 600-square-foot basement suite with one bedroom, one bathroom and space for up to four guests.



Sleeping arrangements

• Bedroom: king Casper bed with quality linens.

• Living room: two single beds available for additional guests.



Living and dining

Relax on an emerald velvet sofa surrounded by a gallery wall of art. The dining nook features a hand-painted mural and a statement chandelier. A Smart TV, Bluetooth speaker, white-noise machine and games are provided.



Kitchen

Prepare meals in a full kitchen with an island, stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, cookware and dinnerware. Coffee and tea are provided.



Bathroom

The full bathroom has a bathtub and shower combination, towels, toiletries and a hair dryer.



Work and longer stays

A desk in the living area provides a place to work. Your own washer and dryer, storage and mudroom help make longer stays convenient. A pack-and-play is available for guests travelling with a baby.



The suite’s bold art, plants and layered textures give it a distinctive, welcoming feel.



Guest Access:

You have exclusive use of the self-contained basement suite, including the kitchen, living and dining areas, bedroom, bathroom and laundry. Enter through the side gate and private side entrance, then descend the stairs to the suite. Keyless entry allows you to come and go independently. Free street parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis; please follow posted signs.



The Neighborhood:

Stay in the Kensington/Hillhurst area of northwest Calgary, known for independent cafés, restaurants, shops and neighbourhood character. Explore Kensington’s shopping streets, visit the Plaza Theatre or enjoy the Bow River pathways. The suite is a convenient base for downtown visits, work trips and longer stays in Calgary.



Getting Around:

Free street parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Explore nearby neighbourhood destinations on foot, or use buses, taxis and ride-sharing services for longer trips. Sunnyside CTrain station provides connections to downtown and other parts of Calgary; allow travel time from the suite to the station.



Other Things to Note:

This is a basement suite accessed by stairs. It has one enclosed bedroom; the additional single beds for guests three and four are in the living room. Pets are not permitted due to allergies. A Banff park pass may be available on request; please check with us before planning to use it.
