Your worries will disappear as you enter the inviting space of Villa Tres Lunas! Choose from one of the three-bedroom suites, each with its own private bathroom and air conditioning. The Luna and Mariposa queen-size suites have beautiful bathrooms with showers and views of the gardens, while the Sangrillo king-size suite has a deep soaking bathtub with a separate shower and overlooks the pool.

The outdoor kitchen, dining, and living spaces allow you to remain connected to each other whether you're in the pool, hanging out on the comfy sectional, streaming shows on the new 42-inch smart TV, or lounging on the deck under the Goddess Tree! There are also private little spaces outside each room. Choose between rocking chairs surrounded by nature, a hanging macrame swing for two to enjoy quiet moments for coffee or reading a book, or loungers soaking up the rays by the pool. Your kitchen is fully equipped with a two-burner cooktop in addition to the full-size range and oven, refrigerator/freezer, countertop microwave, rice cooker, blender, coffee pot, countertop convection/air fryer/ toaster oven, and utensils.

There is no need to set any alarms at Villa Tres Lunas! Let the greetings of the nearby howler monkey tribe be your wake-up call! Meander around the grounds and get lost in the magic Mother Nature has created! The resident Goddess Tree gives life and shelter to so much wildlife! You may even see a sleepy sloth lounging high in the tree, or toucans, macaws soaring overhead! The locals believe that a sighting of the Blue Morpho butterfly is a blessing, and many of our guests have enjoyed seeing these beautiful creatures! After the sun goes down, be prepared for the magic of fireflies and clear skies, full of twinkling stars!

A short 15-minute walk from your oasis will take you to Playa Negra, a gorgeous black sand beach. There you will discover a lovely beachfront restaurant at Banana Azul or the Super Banana Gourmet Market with an outdoor cafe where you can have a coffee and pastry and use the internet. There are also numerous grocers and meat markets in Puerto Viejo to stock up for your provisions back at the villa. Be sure to check out the Sloth Sanctuary, the Jaguar Rescue Center, the Cahuita National Park, and the National Wildlife Refuge-Manzanillo, or rent bikes and ride the coastline visiting the small towns and their unique offerings, all within 30 minutes of your peaceful retreat. After a day of exploring, return to your private paradise to have cocktails in the jungle with the toucans!

Other things to note:

Please note: You may see a bug or two in an open-air jungle environment. We do everything possible to prevent them from entering your air-conditioned suites. However, they are a part of the ecosystem and life here in the jungle. While we make every effort to keep it spotless for guests, we cannot completely control nature and you may see the occasional bug. Please be aware of this and make sure you're ok with the possibility before booking. Keeping suite doors closed will help!

Please note: The village is growing. Along with monkeys, sloths, toucans, and geckos, you may notice construction. We are excited for the completion and ask for your patience!

Please note: In the jungle, electricity is a luxury. There may be short outages from time to time. This usually happens with big storms! Sit back and enjoy listening to the magic of the jungle!

Please note: We do not allow smoking or pets on the property. Be sure to read the smoking policy completely, prior to booking. There is a $500 fee for evidence of pets or smoking in or around the home.

Please note: This home is not suitable for loud gatherings. As we occupy a nearby home, we appreciate and respect the tranquility that Mother Nature provides for us, our neighbors, and our guests. Please be mindful and note the house policies about quiet hours starting at 9pm.

There is a large driveway for your convenience. Please do not park on the grass.

We try to be environmentally aware and ask that you either turn off the air conditioners when not in use or turn the temperature up to save electricity. In the jungle, electricity is a luxury.

Please help us get the longest life possible out of our septic system and do not flush personal hygiene materials, wipes, and large amounts of toilet paper.

Laundry:

We have recently reopened our laundry room for guests after replacing a new washing machine. Please make sure to rinse sandy items with the outdoor shower before placing them in the washer and dryer. NO shoes in the washer and dryer. Please use ECO-friendly laundry detergent. Septic systems are fragile and we want to continue being able to provide this service to all guests in the future. Thank you!
