Fantastic accommodation
The Crescent Suite was very luxurious and had everything we needed. It was ideal for our group (14 of us!) to get together for meals and chatting - thanks to Claudia and Laura for arranging the extra tables/chairs. We will almost certainly be back!

Wonderful property, very well decorated and generously sized. First floor bedroom is stunning, but so is the lounge. Had everything you need to be comfortable and feel at home. Great base to explore the Peak District, plenty of walks daily. The buxton brewery was a 20 minute walk away, great beer and burgers, definitely recommended

Incredible stay!!
I cannot recommend this venue enough!! The accommodation was stunning! We had a large group of friends staying in separate apartments throughout the venue and everyone was so impressed with the rooms and quality of everything. It was a 15 minute walk into the town and gardens which are stunning and would highly recommend visiting! We booked a pub lunch at The Old Sun Inn and the pie meal which they are famous for was delicious!! All in all, the venue and Buxton in general made it the best weekend. I would stay here again and have already sent the link to a few people who have requested it. Please book you will not regret it! Thank you to Claudia who was very helpful throughout the booking process and the entire Muse Escapes team for managing and providing stunning accommodation

Our Stay
We had the best time as I wanted something special for my 50th as not been anywhere for a while and was unable to find any faults. Everything for when we booked to when we left was 5star service from Claudia and Muse Escapes. The accommodation itself was absolutely perfect as we also had the Buxton Suite and both apartments accommodated 7 ladies, The Graze board when we arrived was perfect as we had a long drive from our homes. Everything was perfect and thankyou

A gorgeous retreat
We stayed here for our minimoon. The amazing crescent suit has a hot tub, garden area, two bedrooms, a kitchen, lounge and dining area, bbq facilities, a downstairs shower room and upstairs bathroom woth the copper bath. Close to local amenities with a good guide of where to go and eat, check in and out information sent ahead of time this break was worth the wait. The staff were superb when in contact with them. Thank you to Claudia and Laura for everything you have done for us. A true gem in the peak district.

Lovely apartment
Lovely room, great space for Getting the wider family of 8 together . Ovens a bit perplexing (particularly the top one!) so maybe add instructions for those. We were brilliantly looked after by Vicki who even brought us extra logs around for the fire.

A few issues
The crescent suite is a truly beautiful suite, but it seems a bit unloved and uncared for.
The promised welcome basket was missing.
The kitchen tap only provided hot water, this was reported and no response received but after being out for the day it was clear someone had been in as a piece of card was behind the tap. I think it would be been appropriate to tell us someone was entering, and that they had carried out a makeshift repair.
The apartment wasn’t cleaned, crumbs in the oven, a dusty greasy extractor hood, fingerprints on the glass, glass marks on the coffee table.
Previous guests candles were found so had not been cleared away.
The outside area and balcony had not been cleaned or swept, cigarette ends and cannabis roach ends were present.
The hot tub bracket was broken.
All these issues were reported on departure but no response has been forthcoming.
I would expect more from a ‘5 star’ establishment.

Fabulous Foxlow
We had an amazing stay at Foxlow Grange one of the best places we have stayed in.
It started with good customer service from Vicki who contacted me as I had a request for some items (private chef etc for a big bday surprise for my husband)
The website & emails for check-in etc are very informative & easy to follow.
Foxlow is a fantastic looking, well maintained House with plenty of parking.
It has an amazing hallway in the main entrance & easy to obtain keys to the Crescent Suite where the entrance & garden is around the rear of the House.
The Crescent Suite is large & has fabulous William Morris interior design & complimentary colours of Quality furniture.
We loved the mixture of modern sofas with the older statement pieces of wooden furniture & of course the original fireplace & the ceiling upstairs!
It’s a very well thought out design & is so spacious with the most fantastic bedroom upstairs with arched ceiling & modern bathroom with the deep brass bath.
We loved relaxing in the hot tub after a day dog walking (could do with a cover over it for a bit of privacy / to use if raining / retractable roof so open in summer - but it didn’t stop us getting in it at 2 degrees with sleet as helped the aching muscles :-)
Once the heating had warmed the large downstairs area it was so cozy & so quiet (Bring slippers for use on the gorgeous wood floor / kitchen area)
The downstairs bedroom is a little tight but the space has been well utilised. This has been made up for by having a great dressing area & bathroom that makes a mini private area. (full length mirror would be good down here)
We will definitely visit again!

A fantastic place to stay
This review covers two visits in July 2025 where I managed to mix business and leisure. The first visit was the Miller Dale suite and the second in the Fabolous and spacious Crescent Suite. Both suites are really nicely appointed with loads of room. The surroundings are great and it is a reasobnably easy walk (if you are reasonably fit) into Buxton itself as it is about 1.2 miles to the centre. Whilst the weather was not brilliant we did manage to use the hot tub one evening.
The kitchens are well appointed and have a dishwasher (which is a bonus).
The Crescent Suite is a really interesting conversation and I will be looking to visit again the next time my local client needs me in town.
