We booked a room for 2 nights. Bathroom had a water puddle and dirty aged toilet seat. Towels we requested did not arrive ( towel rail not working or plugged in ) and room not serviced. When we asked the duty manager asked if we had asked for room visit - at ÂŁ220 per night how little do they want to provide. We left rather than stay a second night. This is grossly overpriced and poor value.
Lovely local hotel/ inn staff were great breakfast was amazing it was very hot at night could of done with some air conditioning but I know thatâs not the English way, will definitely be staying here again
Very cute and well maintained Restaurant and pub with rooms upstairs.
Had an exceptionally good dinner at the restaurant and the breakfast was also very good.
I recommended highly.
Gorgeous place. Great location. It is on the main road and you can hear traffic but it didn't bother us at all. The room set up was perfect for what we needed. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and beds were very comfortable! The service was perfect, everyone was really friendly and an early check in was accommodated when we asked for it which we appreciated very much. Breakfast was great too, in a cute conservatory with lots of choice and freshly made to order. We ate in the pub/restaurant downstairs which was great, very friendly server. All in all, I would highly recommend and definitely stay again!
This inn was right by the road between Oxford and Chippenham, and has a very cool history. It has a beautiful garden in the back that connects to a path connecting to 2 small towns. There are also other paths nearby that you can go to explore.
The food here was really good and the room was very spacious compared to other places we've been! The only caveat is that we can hear the cars passing by faintly while sleeping. It's not a big deal at all for us but just a note for those who are very sensitive to noise.
The staff were fantastic, we arrived quite late and they helped us to get our order through to the kitchen just after last food orders. Breakfast rhe following mornj g was amazing the staff (Dave) was super friendly and really helpful.
Fantastic hospitality and friendly staff. Amazing food and all you can eat breakfast. Comfortable 4 Poster Bedroom, fluffy towels and in room reasonable refreshments. Would defo stay again.
We stayed as a relatively young couple for our first trip to the Cotswolds.
The inn was lovely and cosy, particularly with the fire in the pub area of the inn. We ate in the restaurant one evening and the food was delicious, as was the food each morning for breakfast. The breakfast food was plentiful with enough options.
Our room was warm and cosy. It was dated but it fits in with the feel of the inn. We did have a room overlooking the main road and it was noisy at peak times but it did quiet down throughout the night. As the inn is an old building you can hear noise from upstairs and other rooms but guests were generally considerate.
Overall we had a lovely stay - the inn was in prime location for travelling to some of the main touristy areas within the Cotswolds. The staff were all lovely and attentive and we would recommend a visit to the Inn. We would definitely return.
Had a lovely time, Riley welcomed us with such friendliness. The room was perfect, warm and clean. In the pub they serve Hawkstone Lager which was a delight! Breakfast was wonderful and the staff was immaculate. Thank you! We will definitely come again.
