We stayed at Hotel Grosse Klus and were very pleasantly surprised! The suite was spotless, beautifully designed, and cozy, a perfect place to relax. The staff were incredibly friendly and spoke excellent English, which made everything very easy for us as non-German guests.
The location is beautiful, quiet, peaceful, and full of charm. Breakfast was absolutely amazing, with an incredible variety of options. And we have to mention the waffles, hands down the best we have ever had! Free parking right in front of the hotel was also a big plus.
The amenities were great overall, but there are a few small things that could make the stay even better. The coffee machine required very specific pods that weren’t provided or available for purchase, which was a bit disappointing. The bed, while clean, was extremely hard and uncomfortable, definitely could use an upgrade, along with the pillows. In the kitchenette, there were about 19 spoons but only one fork and one knife, and only two champagne flutes for drinking, no regular glasses.
Despite these minor points, it’s a lovely and cozy hotel in a beautiful setting, with truly welcoming staff. It’s a perfect midway stop on the way to Berlin, and with a few small improvements, it could easily be a perfect hotel overall.
