One of the nicest places I have ever stayed in England, pictures donât do it justice, we all had the best time, host was amazing, canât wait to re visit
This house is not presented like in the photos. I booked the property as the reviews rated 4.5 stars out of 5 and is listed as luxury property. This is inaccurate as are images and description. On arrival I had to clean the oven and the microwave before use because there were unwashed trays with grease and baked on food. There were no instructions for the oven as the manual was missing. The fridge was dripping with water and the freezer needs defrosting, it has a build up of ice glueing the draws shut and unusable. There are no hand soap or hand towels in the toilet upstairs or downstairs, there is only one tea towel, and no dish cloth and just a handful of washing up liquid. The grass hasnât been cut and is carpeted with clover and bees. The garden furniture and BBQ is filthy dirty, full of cobwebs and is unusable. The TV doesnât offer channels as advertised and the remote control back is missing. The lock on the front door is quite difficult to turn. The patio doors upstairs are also stiff. I cannot open the padlock to the large gates, I sat on a kitchen stool and the leg gave way because of a screw missing. The mattress springs were almost visible and noisy on movement which was uncomfortable and unbearable. I contacted the host who dismissed all of the above issues and only resolved one problem with grass cutting, They suggested I put a fleece on Sun loungers to cover the dirt. I have also tried to contact VRBO which has proved to be very difficult.
We had a party of 11 ranging between 6 and 66 and all had a great time in the excellent Tregarden. The property is 5 minutes from the beach ad has stunning views over the coastline.Despite a couple of minor problems at the start of the holiday Genevieve and John the owners couldn't have been more helpful and sorted them out straight away.I would highly recommend Tregarden for a family hoilday.
Our family group of three generations have just enjoyed a great 3 night stay at Tregarden. The property is fabulously spacious and very well fitted out with a great kitchen, lovely bathroom and ensuite shower room. The upstairs living space is very comfortable and has wonderful views of the nearby coast and beaches, and the kitchen space and appliances are perfect. The children loved sharing the bunk-bedroom and really enjoyed their "own area" in the play room. The house is also perfectly warm with great underfloor heating as well as a woodburner. The proximity to the nearby beaches is a real plus and the garden area with play equipment is ideal for the kids to continue letting off steam even after a morning on the beach.Genevieve and Pete were really helpful in promptly answering and sorting out any queries that we had. We'd always look to go back to Tregarden when we want to stay at Widemouth Bay.
For a family gathering of eight, this property was perfect. We had the space and with three under eights, there was plenty of room. The views were splendid and the property offered all the amenities one is likely to need. The house is a passive house and it's the first time I've stayed in one. It's extremely well insulated and a very comfortable temperature inside. Genevieve was extremely helpful and responsive to our questions ensuring our stay went off without a hitch. Having the beach and Southwest Coast Path on your doorstep is such a huge bonus. We would definitely consider another stay. :)
Fabulous location within walking distance of the beach with great garden space. The view from the balcony is lovely and with the sliding doors open you can hear the sea. Genevieve and John are on hand and very approachable.
The property was perfect for two families to enjoy a New Year break in Cornwall. Despite some wet and wild weather we had a fabulous time thanks to the spacious, modern, well equipped and comfortable property that had everything we needed and was ideal for our group of adults, teens, younger children & dogs. It was great to be within walking distance of the beach as well (despite the wind and rain). Thanks so much to the hosts for enabling this wonderful break.
This was the perfect venue for a 3 generational family holiday. The children and grandchildren had a marvellous time playing on the beach, surfing and body boarding. We chilled out in the garden. We had a hiccup sorting out the oven but Genevieve came to the rescue immediately. The house is spacious and comfortable. We would highly recommend staying here.
Excellent location and communication with Genevieve, the Property Manager. Spacious accommodation with easy walking access to the beach. Wonderful views from the balcony. We had a very enjoyable week and would happily recommend to others,
Fantastic house in a fantastic location with amazing views
We had a lovely stay the second week of August. The house is exactly as described and very comfortable. The views are fantastic, so nice to see and hear the sea! If itâs the beach you are looking for then this is the place for you!
There are plenty of good places to eat or drink and Lastly the sun sets are amazing
We would highly recommend staying here.
We were an extended family plus my granddaughters' two friends. The house was beautifully situated with easy access to the beach. Our evenings culminated in watching the superb sunsets from the balcony where we then went on to star gaze
Very comfortable, excellent situation with a great view, lots of room for 8 adults and two children ( plus two dogs). Genuinely 5 min walk to Widemouth Beach. The hosts were very quick to sort out a couple of queries we had. Hope to stay there again
Really lovely spacious house, with stunning views over Widmouth Bay. Well equipped and with very good bathroom/shower facilities. Communication with Genevieve, the host, was excellent at all stages. The location is ideal, as itâs a short walk to the beach and cafes, but is also in reach of many other attractions in the area.
This is a great place to stay - the upside down living works really well and sitting on the balcony looking over Widemouth Bay is a lovely place to end the day. Easy walking distance to both Widemouth and Black Rock beaches, cafes at both of them. 2 really nice restaurants (Bay View and the Beach House) nearby and a pizza place on the corner - all really good food. Plus its a lovely walk on the coastal path to Bude (took us just over an hour). Wouldnt hesitate to recommend.
Amazing property spacious modern with amazing view, just a stones throw away from beach , very relaxing and enjoyable holiday had by all 11 of us would definitely recommend this property.
Lovely to be be back in Widemouth Bay. Views from logia couldnât be better. Sun sinking into the sea every evening.
Lucky to have week of hot weather too.
Well appointed house- convenient lay-out.
Would be good to have outside table and a bit more cutlery- not enough forks for 10 people for instance. But didnât spoil stay!
Recommended.
