"A major amenity for me was the promised “off-street parking.” As we were there for business it was important to us to have our vehicle securely nearby for our three nights. We were informed upon check-in that the parking for this listing was only “permitted and metered” parking on nearby streets (no parking allowed on the street where this listing is). Owner apologized but said the two spaces in the rear lot were not for this listing. I am disputing this with VRBO and have already spent about 80 minutes on the phone with VRBO help agents. Listing should not say parking is available if the only available parking is on a city street that requires permits or meter payments. I would not recommend this place if you have a car."

Cozy Home in Historic Harrisburg

"The house and the neighborhood were both historic and interesting. It was conveniently located for everywhere we needed to go and within walking distance of the river foot path, which was a nice bonus. The host was prompt and clear in communication and the check-in process was smooth and easy.There were a handful of small inconveniences related to the house itself that would have made things a four star overall (a clock not working, dining room chairs where the seat wasn't attached to the frame., a floorboard nail that kept catching on socks, a slow draining sink, a bath fan that stopped working, the electronic door lock wouldn't engage when we left). The larger issue that made things a three star stay was the "flexible fourth bedroom." The listing specified an air mattress which would have been fine because we knew that going in. But there were no sheets, blankets, pillows, towels, washcloths, etc. for any guests who might use that room or that bed. Two of our group stayed with family nearby as a result, but other guests might not have the same option. Without those things the listing should be revised to say that the house only sleeps six guests in three bedrooms."

"The pros: great location in midtown, cute space for the price, good price point. The cons: moldy shower curtain (see image), no bath mat, window curtain in the bathroom, and lock entry by key code. Overall, as a female, I felt safe in the location and in the apartment."

"This was an excellent spot for my wife and I for a long weekend. The place has been renovated so it's not at all what's displayed online. But it was actually better the way we found it. All arrangements and comms w owner were first class. Will stay again for sure and recommend highly."

"Great location! Enjoyed walking by the river each morning and to a baseball game at City Island. Knead was a fabulous pizza place nearby! Easy access to freeway. Parking was convenient. Jonathan was an excellent host. Instructions were very clear and the pictures were helpful. The apartment had everything we needed and was very clean. We took the smaller Murphy bed room so we would be able to use the kitchen in the morning and not wake the teen before noon. lol. Would have been nice to have more comfortable seating in that room and maybe a small table for eating. As is normal for apartment dwelling, the noise of the tenant above us on the third floor was kind of bothersome late at night or early in the morning. We were on the second floor. Had access from front steps and fire escape. Fine for us but not a good option for someone with mobility issues."
