ENJOY TWIN PONDS WHILE EXPLORING MIDCOAST MAINE

Twin Ponds is a private home with a recently designed guest suite. Guests have access to Merrymeeting Bay, where six rivers converge in the quiet village of Bowdoinham, Maine. A local pub, a waterfront park with Sunday summer night concerts, and Saturday farmers' markets are standout features of our town. An outstanding fresh flower and vegetable farm stand resides adjacent to our property.

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION

I 295 access is 1/4 mile from our property, meaning you can easily launch Maine adventures in every direction.

Thirty minutes south is PORTLAND, a hub of culinary and cultural events.

Travel north to BAR HARBOR to visit our beautiful Acadia National Park.

In fifteen minutes you can be in BATH, the "City of Ships", home of Bath Iron Works and the historic Maine Maritime Museum.

BOOTHBAY HARBOR is 45 minutes up the coast. There, you'll discover the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens. Don't miss the Children's Garden which features Maine themed books with interactive activities that will entertain both young and older than young.

BRUNSWICK, home of Bowdoin College, is ten minutes from Twin Ponds. It offers many unique shopping opportunities, as well as dining options that will please all palates.

FREEPORT, home of the L L Bean flagship store and outlets galore, is 15 minutes away.

There are many more discoveries to be made from your stay at Twin Ponds.

TWIN PONDS GUEST SUITE

A private entrance welcomes you into a sitting room/bedroom, which includes a queen size bed, couch, plenty of relaxing space, and a 42 inch flat screen television.

The second room in the suite, which is open to the sitting room/bedroom, includes a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave, an electric stove, a small refrigerator and a coffee station. A cushioned banquette with dining table provide a comfortable spot for meals. A twin size studio couch provides an opportunity for a third guest.

A bathroom with shower is off the second room.

A small outdoor patio with a bistro table and chairs offers a perfect spot for morning coffee or evening cocktails and excellent bird watching.

Our guest suite has been furnished with hand-selected pottery, antiques, family favorites, local art, and special pieces of furniture handmade by the owner. We created this as a space where we, as the owners, would love to stay.

We're very proud that Twin Ponds is 100% energy self-sufficient with solar power and a geothermal heating and cooling system.

The accommodations at Twin Ponds were great. We were very comfortable and felt very much at home. Unfortunately, it rained most of the time, so we didn't get to enjoy the beautiful grounds. The hosts were very friendly and made sure we had everything that we needed. Oscar was very friendly too! The location was very convenient to our relatives and places we wanted to visit. We'd definitely return in the future!

Rental exactly as represented in listing. Unit was private, homey and cozy in a serenely lush setting with birds at the feeder visible while sitting in bed. Luana obviously put a lot of thought into providing the necessities that may be needed during a stay. Beds were comfy.Location had easy access to the more major roads to local attractions.Brian and Luana are kind and gracious hosts. Our plane was early and we were able to check in early. Luana was there to greet us and provide a brief orientation. Brian texted suggestions of places to go. If encountered on the grounds, they were up for a chat. Interesting people clearly enjoying what they do.Adding a fun note was Oscar, their supremely affable golden retriever, calmly friendly, enjoying some attention then on his way to enjoy his doggie paradise.

Lovely Cottage Suite in Maine

Twin Ponds is a lovely location on a beautiful pond setting. Lovely landscaping and plantings with a walking path around the pond. We totally enjoyed our stay here. The suite is like a small cottage, wonderfully appointed and immaculate. Everything you could possibly need including freshly ground delicious coffee. A well- equipped and charming suite. This was a very special stay for us and hope to return one day. Brian and Luana are such gracious and friendly hosts. Thank you so much Brian and Luana—it was so nice to meet you and thank you on my behalf and my family!

Oscar is the best host

Great spot. Oscar really is the best host, loves to say hi when he sees you. Bed was comfy. Good base to explore all of Maine. Only trouble is being a big guy in the smaller shower.

Wonderful Area

WE picked the time (early October) to see the foliage and visit a friend. We spent several days seeing the sights: maritime museum, botanical gardens, etc. and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The Smiths were excellent hosts and were very knowledgeable about the surrounding area.

Twin Ponds Is A Vacationers Dream

Brian & Luana are the finest people and wonderful hosts, they went out of their way to ensure we had an enjoyable stay at Twin Ponds. Also... Oscar is the best ambassador one could expect to start your vacation and your day off with a smile. The property is scenic offering hints of Maine wildlife, birds and as much fresh air as one can take in. While you have the feeling of being removed from the hustle and bustle of the world, Twin Ponds is conveniently located to all the amenities you need on vacation. The apartment itself is well laid out. Brian & Luana have made sure there are all the items a short or long stay needs on hand, along with some added touches that make it special. Having visited Maine for over 30 years, this property is perfect for seeing the sights, or just getting away for a relaxing holiday. Quaint location with great hosts!

We had a wonderful week-long stay with our hosts in Bowdoinham. Our suite was a converted office space in their house and all of the amenities were there for us (kitchen, bathroom, living room, etc.). The place was immaculate and well supplied with linens and lots of little things to make us feel right at home. We had our own dedicated parking spot and our hosts were readily available if we needed something or to ask a question. Highly recommend!!!

Charming countryside vacation suite with immediate access to major Maine highway

Twin Ponds' hosts have created a lovely open concept suite that is delightfully decorated and well-appointed for an extended stay. Cook and eat-in, or jump in your car and travel through Maine's MidCoast towns and Islands. Twin Ponds in Bowdoinham is a restful space to relax after a busy day of exploring. I spent several of my days there doing nothing more than enjoying the fabulous sunshine that streamed into the suite while drawing and painting. It was a great treat. The hosts are very thoughtful and kind, and have helpful tips for their guests.

Wonderful base for exploring Coastal Maine

Twin Ponds was a wonderful base for exploring Coastal Maine. The Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, many State Parks and also the harbors for whale watching were not far away. The suite had everything the two of us needed. The hosts, Brian and Luana, made us feel very much at home and helped us with many hints and recommendations for things to do. We also loved Oscar, the friendly golden-retriever. If we ever come back from Germany to Maine, we would love to return.

My wife and I had a great experience at Twin Ponds, the host are wonderful, thank you Brian and Luana and Oscar 🐾. The property is beautiful and our suite was cozy and had everything we needed. This was a once in a lifetime trip to explore the beautiful coast of Maine and we couldn't have picked a better place to enjoy our stay. We highly recommend Twin Ponds if you are planning a trip to Maine, great location a half a mile from I-295 and about forty minutes from Portland international jetport.
