A cozy cabin retreat in Yuquot on Nootka Island with stunning beach views

Bring yourself to a remote island steeped in history and tradition where the journey to get here is half the experience. Travelling through the Nootka Sound, you can feel time slow as you pass by marine life and beautiful vistas abundant. Once you arrive at Yuquot on Nootka Island, home of the Mowachaht/Muchalhat First Nation since time immoral, The energetic feeling is undeniable. You are somewhere truly special. The cozy rustic cabins offer a mix of ocean and lake views surrounded in the serenity of the forest.

Things to do:

Hiking, swimming, whale watching , fishing , bird watching , visit the Master carvers cabin, Historic Church or the functioning light house, star gaze and enjoy a tranquil sleep with with the sound of the ocean waves.

The cabins have all of the basics and even a little extras to enjoy yourself while you relax and take in the ocean air.

These are fully off grid cabins with no running water, limited solar power for lights and basic charging necessities only. The private composting toilets are conveniently located on the deck just steps from the front door.
There is no running water however there will be 1 jug of water provided. You will be required to bring a cooler for your food and must remember that coexisting with wildlife is part of this experience and as such you cannot leave food outside unattended.
Upon arrival one of the Island hosts will greet you and assist you to the cabins with your gear

Cooking
There is a outdoor propane cook stove with limited propane supplied,
fry pan, med size pot, strainer , mixing bowls, plates, bowels and cutlery, cooking utensils, cups and mugs

Sleeping
**bedding is not included however you can request a bedding package to be picked in Gold River on your way if you would like, and will need to be returned upon departure
