« Not quite what I expected, but the property was off the beaten path, quiet, and clean! The owners were very nice and accommodating. The "Guesthouse" is exactly that. Small, not much bigger than a nice motorhome, and just enough room for a couple with or without a small child. It suited me just fine as I was traveling solo and didn't need much room. « My wife and I stayed here for our 20th wedding anniversary. It’s was such a relaxing experience. Just the two of us the river and the thunderstorms. Absolutely amazing. The host was very helpful and the place was very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend. The only thing missing for us was a hammock lol. One key thing, do your shopping before you get into town, the country mart is the only store and it’s very expensive. »

« The wife and I have made three trips to the area and have stayed at Gill Ridge. Twice at Koi Pond and once at Ellens cabin. The properties are always clean and stocked with plenty of towels, bedding and kitchen cookware. Lots of firewood for the fire pit and grills for outside cooking. Nothing beats laying in your hot tub aftef dark under the stars! Plenty of places to eat in the area and things to do for all ages. We will be back again for our next weekend get away. »

« The listing said there was WiFi but it never worked for us. I reached out to the owner and my concern was not acknowledged. If I had been traveling while working this would have been terrible, as I have to have WiFi for my remote work. I’m okay if I don’t need it, but if the listing says it’s there and find out it’s not, that bothers me a bit and makes me a little uneasy. We lost power, it came back on pretty quick. The cabin is cute and cozy. The views are incredible! »

However, I was under the impression there were beds, not air mattresses in the tent, air mattresses do not hold heat and are a poor choice when it gets cold becausethey also deflate with cold weather. « This cabin is a wonderful mix of rustic and luxury! Every detail has been considered. Out in the woods but not too far from town. Rustic but comfy beds and special touches. The bathrooms are each unique and charming! The kitchen is fantastic! There are also great outdoor spaces that we didn’t quite have time to enjoy on our short stay. « Hostess was very accommodating and quickly responded to my requests for info or needs. Beautiful property and cabin. Grandkids had a great time during our short stay in Cuba (was there for a wedding).
