This property and it's owners, who live close by, fill your Soul with peace, beauty, love, and kindness. A wonderful place for tranquility. Great local shops and general stores near by. Thank you again, for a fantastic stay. You'll see me again. - Greg
We were pleasantly impressed with our stay! Everything was perfect. When we arrived, we were greeted with a welcome message and a small bag of delicious oatmeal cookies. (The absolute best oatmeal cookies Iâve ever had!)
The place was clean and we loved the property. It was private and well kept. We used the BBQ grill Saturday evening and enjoyed sitting in the backyard and enjoyed the peace & quiet. And the beautiful trees that surrounded the property.
We visit Bourbon, MO every year for our annual float trip. And usually stay on the camp grounds. Not anymore! Weâll definitely be checking in with Chuck and Donna before considering the campgrounds going forward.
Not quite what I expected, but the property was off the beaten path, quiet, and clean! The owners were very nice and accommodating. The "Guesthouse" is exactly that. Small, not much bigger than a nice motorhome, and just enough room for a couple with or without a small child. It suited me just fine as I was traveling solo and didn't need much room. The bed was very comfortable, and the thermostat worked perfectly. For the price, you can't go wrong. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Chuck & Donna!
Great little place to stay (once). Owners were great and itâs pretty secluded. Has everything youâd want.
Romantic and overall nice. You can easily make great meals here and enjoy comfortably. Movies available to watch (limited). Price is fairly reasonable. Outdoor area - especially out the back door - seemed run down, with several eyesores. Also, this location is WAY out in the country near a small-town: Bourbon, MO. Long drive from major cities (can be a good or a bad thing). Local to Meramec Caverns - which was awesome. Overall, if you want a getaway where you and that special someone are left alone, have all the things you need & a great little unit: this is it. If youâre also looking for something close to a larger city, with surroundings manicured and tons of external amenitiesâŠ. Not here. Again, owners were great: B .
This property was perfect for our small family of three. It is divided into two sections, with the bathroom in the middle. One section is the bedroom and the other has the kitchen and small sitting area. The owners were very communicative and nice. There are also four cats, two goats, and a guard dog on site, which was a great perk for my son, who had to say hi to the animals every morning. Definitely will book again when we return to the area.
Clean quiet cozy experience. Enjoyed watching DVD in the bedroom. Bathroom stays warm! Had everything we needed for perfect getaway close enough to town which had a couple good restaurants antique shop DG etc. Excellent communication by the hosts. Would definitely book again looks like they had some land and animals to see and some outdoor games for families but it was a little cold and rainy when we were there so we had the perfect stay inside!
Good location for where we are working.
A home away from home. Our sons thought maybe a few updated movies but itâs totally fine. Very nice place! We plan to be back.
Property was clean,,easy to find and away from alot of people. There is a burn pit and charcoal grill to use, which was nice. We had to drive maybe 30 minutes to get to Meramec State Park but staying in an actual house was so much better than camping. Price for the stay was great!
