"Staying on Berglind's property this past week was amazing! The guest house is split into two separate areas. The kitchen, 2 bedrooms, and bathroom are in the first section. There is a separate entrance that leads to the other two bedrooms and bathroom. It was perfect for our family (myself, boyfriend, brother, and two kids). She provided some staple items so we could cook local potatoes, eggs, and pepper we bought at the gas station up the road. Waking up to horses grazing in the field each...

"We had a great stay even though the floor hadn't been swept at all. I found a broom and swept it. When getting ready to leave (after two nights) looked under the bed and hadn't been swept there either. But, on the positive side - nice place to stay - the Northern Lights were great, amenities (fridge, washer and dryer and location) were great. The beds in Iceland aren't the normal US twin, a little skinnier, but we got used to that. Know that they in Iceland they just give you a duvet, no top...

"The Hilltop House is a special place. The views from the house in winter are magical. Watching the various shades of pink come in over the bay to the East while sipping coffee was a daily highlight. Sitting in our own geothermal hot tub while watching the Northern Lights dance is something our boys will never forget. The host is very responsive. Having the Hvammsvik springs a few hundred meters away was awesome, we visited those springs twice and stopped by the restaurant each night for a drink....

"This place was simply amazing! There was a very small issue with our booking and instead of staying in the lake house we were moved to the hilltop house and all I can say is WOW! The property in general is just incredible with 360 degree views. The hot springs were so relaxing. The hilltop house sits on a hill and you can’t get enough of the scenery. The house was stocked with everything we needed to cook dinner (no microwave which was fine) and we had plenty of space with our family of four....

"Great bargain option! Gorgeous waterfall area on the property, good breakfast and dinner at the restaurant. Very peaceful area. Stayed in the camping pod, very basic but had a comfortable bed. The mini fridge in my room only could fit maybe one can of soda and it didn't seem to work, and the shower was a communal shower and make sure you bring shower shoes it did not look like it was deep cleaned in a long time, but it if you consider you are essentially camping its really not a big deal. We enjoyed the well stocked kitchen, spacious design, and comfortable furniture! We didn't use the hot tub as we expected to but hit up the (sort of) nearby Krauma hot springs.
