« The staff were very helpful & friendly. The hotel rooms are a bit dated but very clean and the bed very comfortable. The dressing table has no lamp or light nearby, so it is hard to get ready, appying make up as the bathroom light isn't great either. There is a pub across the road which played loud music until 2am plus lots of noise outside first thing because of the main road. Saying that, we enjoyed our stay . The hotel is in a great location close to the sites if you don't mind the noise....

« The hotel was like home from home, all members of staff made us very welcome and were exceedingly helpful.
The food was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed both the breakfast and evening meals, good ingredients beautifully cooked and the service was quick and attentive.
Our holiday was mainly to visit gardens in the surrounding area,, five of which were within one hours drive = heaven.
York’s Park and Ride was a 20 minute drive away and we spent a good few hours sightseeing and shopping,...
