The Downtown Duck on King Street - 2 Bedroom Flat

In the epicenter of downtown Boone!

Unique flat above a locally beloved cafe in a 1930's Historic Downtown Building.

2 bedroom. 1 bath. 1,100 square feet.

Fully equipped kitchen. Office space. Yoga space. Newly Renovated & decorated. Walk to downtown shops and restaurants. Two minute walk to Appalachian State University campus. View of the wind turbine & football stadium lights!

This is a Historic Downtown Building, so we went with that vibe. The old hardwood floors have been shined, with luxury vinyl flooring added to a few rooms. We've exposed some of the brick in the kitchen from behind the plaster walls.

Both bedrooms have brand new Queen pillow-top mattresses.

All linens and towels are provided. Baseboard heating throughout. A window AC unit in the living room. Ceiling fans in the living room as well as both bedrooms.

New Pillow-top Queen Mattresses. 50 inch Roku Smart TV.

Get some work done remotely at the desk.

Take a peaceful break and practice yoga with the provided yoga equipment.

Fully kitchen equipped with everything you need to cook (for the times you don't walk to a downtown restaurant). There are brand new counters and countertops and all the utensils and appliances to cook, cozy up and stay in.

The Living Room has a leather couch, lots of pillows and throws & is tastefully decorated. Books to read. Puzzles to build. Smart TV. Log in to your Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon accounts.

Wow!! Location couldn't be better! Very spacious with high ceilings, real hardwood floors, viby mid-century modern decor, nice lighting and natural light, comfortable beds, full kitchen, and thoughtful extras.Communication and response to questions was prompt and thorough. Best location ever

The Downtown Duck is an ideal location to walk to the university, restaurants and coffee shops, and (conveniently) to where our daughter lives. We'll recommend it to friends and likely stay there again ourselves.

Boone spring vacay

I loved the vibe and location of this place. Perfect to explore downtown Boone, with enough food variety, entertainment and shopping - we didn’t have to drive anywhere. The bedding is comfortable, the kitchen appropriately equipped. The living space is stylish and comfortable. Totally recommend. stLush, and comfotable.

This a return visit to the Downtown Duck. We stayed here last fall to visit our son at Boone and came back with him this year so he could visit some friends still in Boone. the location is great, can walk to food, drink and shopping. you can also catch the applecart and travel around town. will definitely return

Overall the experience was good and apartment was much bigger than what I expected honestly and what I love is that the host was always replying to any questions or messages I had was reliable plus it was a nice location close to alot of stores and places to eat would definitely recommend on this location to stay at !!

Great location, but…

The property is located above a restaurant which had very loud music playing from the time they opened until the time they closed. Also, the pictures look very different from the actual space. The property was really old and dingy. Lastly, it was really cold because the only baseboard heat that was pumping out heat was the one in the living room. The owner requested a five star rating in the welcome book, but it is way too run down to even come close to five stars.

Perfect location for an ASU visit!

The owner's communication was excellent and accurate! It made the check-in go so smoothly to have so much info ahead of time. The location was perfect for my son's "Student for a day" experience at ASU. We plan to re-book this place when we return in January for his audition to go to the ASU school of music.
