The Edgewater Escape - 2-story full Lake House, on the water, with deck & AC!
The Edgewater Escape - Lake Tapps, Washington
This lakefront, two-story home truly lives up to its name and we can't wait for you to find out! Enjoy a prime location with access to Lake Tapps – there is a path from the deck to the waterfront, with a dock, fire pit, and boat launch.
Upon entering the first floor of this family-friendly home you'll first notice the well-furnished living room, a great place for the family to relax and unwind together. You'll find a comfortable sectional sofa, two armchairs, and a wall-mounted flat screen Smart TV with cable. From the living room, you'll have direct access to the kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped to make cooking a breeze. Stainless steel appliances, including a French door fridge, dishwasher, oven, stove, and K-Cup coffee maker will be just ideal for family meals. There is a small kitchenette dining table to seat four adding more dining space to the eight-person dining table. **2024 Update: We now have Air Conditioning for those hot summer days!**
The first floor offers direct access to the partially covered, lakefront deck, which offers a great spot to enjoy the sparkling waters of Lake Tapps. Let your loved ones lounge at the seating area while you heat up the gas grill and treat them to delicious grilled patties and veggies.
Back inside, this level also boasts a laundry room with a washer/dryer combo, and an office right off the front door to get some work done (if needed). Upstairs, you'll find all three bedrooms and two bathrooms (one in the master and one in the hallway between the two guest bedrooms). Each bedroom is stocked with linens and luggage racks for your convenience. All bathrooms are stocked with the necessities as well as hair dryers, soap and shampoo, and towels. The master bedroom has its own mini coffee bar & balcony with a bistro chair set for you to enjoy your morning coffee as the sun comes up over the lake. From the balcony, you can see stunning views of Mt. Rainier if it's a clear day!
Things to Know:
As this is an older home, with extensive woodwork throughout, the home is not accessible and does have steps down into the living room. We are working to make the property more accessible though so stay tuned!
Two kayaks available with life jackets for your use during your stay, located in the garage. In the summer months, swim in the lake or paddle our sit-on-top kayaks along the extensive 45 mile shoreline. The lake has many inlets and interesting places to explore, and much of it offers gorgeous views of Mt. Rainier. Please note that Lake Tapps is a reservoir that is lowered from late October through late March each year, and motor boat access is unavailable during these months. The lake level lowers approximately 3-10 feet. Diving and jumping into the lake should not be done to avoid injury.
There is a private dock and swimming is allowed. Dock is for small boats only as there is no way to get a boat from driveway to lake. Use the dock to enter the lake with kayaks. We discourage the use of motor boats/jet skis in this area if you are not familiar with this particular section of the lake. Small non-motorized vessels are more suitable in this part of the lake.
Liability Waiver: You agree to waive any claim whatsoever against the Host for accidents or claims arising from accessing the Lake (swimming or using any floating devices, e.g., kayaks, inflatables, etc. OR motorable devices, e.g., boats, jet skies, etc.) when you book property. All Guests in your party acknowledge and agree that they have seen this page and read and understand this waiver. They acknowledge that booking constitutes a binding and enforceable contract between the Guests and the Host.

Parking notes: Four vehicles may park in the driveway.
