Disclosure: I never checked in. The property could be lovely — I don't know. This review is about the check-in process and communication with what appears to be a third-party management team.
I arrived at 3:30 p.m. for a 4:00 p.m. check-in — a bit early, my fault, but I was happy to wait. Two hours prior, I'd sent my passport and all required documentation. I also included a Bogotá-based friend's passport as a courtesy, since building security seemed strict and they might visit briefly.
This caused a major problem. The management team insisted I change the reservation to two guests. I explained my friend wasn't staying — they live in Bogotá. The team wouldn't budge. I tried to modify the reservation, but the platform blocked changes since the stay had already begun.
I asked them to simply disregard the second passport and check in just me — the only person actually standing at the property. They refused. Check-in instructions didn't arrive until approximately 8:00 p.m., four hours late. By then, to avoid standing in the cold any longer, I'd already gone to a nearby hotel and forfeited the stay.
I paid for a property I never entered because I proactively sent one extra ID. No one exercised basic judgment. Future guests: color exactly within the lines, or be prepared for the possibility that you won't get in.
I deeply regret making this reservation due to the financial loss and the negativity of the interactions.
